"Alatus, that was a terrible spar." Skadi laughed, sitting on the edge of a wall. She held herself in a relaxed state, legs crossed, arms leaned back.
"Says the one who never fights." Alatus retorts, whipping his pants off from the dirt.
"Yeah come on! Come try a fight!" Bosacius laughed, clapping one pair of hands together, while the other stretched above their head.
"Don't pressure her... I mean she can't—" Bonanus whispered, glancing over to Skadi. Skadi was glaring at the water Adeptus, clearly not happy with her choice of words.
"Hey, hey! How about a small fight? Alatus will go easy on you, promise!" Indarias added on, stepping between the piercing gaze.
"I don't need your pity." Skadi grunts and stands up, eyes now locked on the fire Adeptus. "If you're all going to be annoying... I'd rather return to my room."
"No one was trying to 'pity' you, Skadi." Menogias pipes up from his spot under the golden tree. His eyes were still trained on his book. "And if you'd stop pitying yourself, maybe you'd see that."
Skadi gritted her teeth, holding back the urge to freeze him where he sat. "Asshole." She then vanishes, leaving the group to the usual five.

They all stay silent for a few minutes before Alatus sighs heavily. "That was an awful conversation." He sat and starts to shine his spear, "could have been a little less abrasive."
"I wasn't trying to hurt her! I was just careless with my choice of words!" Bonanus sighs, kicking a twig.
"I don't think she said anything wrong," Menogias states finally looking up from his book. "She needs a reality check, if she doesn't open her eyes soon; she'll be the first death."

...

Time froze for the 5 Yakshas, the smallest of them was in a demon's cold grasp. Blood was quickly engulfing her hands from the shards of her own ice slicing her arms up. Her voice was lost in the claws that wrapped around her throat. They watched as her body was hurled across the battlefield, blackened blood splattering around the stone. Her body then drops out of view, leaving only a solid stone. They couldn't stop the battle for a teammate, they had to keep going. The battle lasted for nearly a day before they came out on top. The area was fully cleaned of any enemies. But they felt the loss of their teammate, they didn't feel like they really won this battle.

The group sifted through the rocks and came up empty-handed. At some point, the rock painted with her blood was broken and thrown about. The mouth of the cave was not just covered... it was gone. They tried for hours but her body was gone, it was like she never existed. She was engulfed in the land of Teyvat, assumed dead. Everyone grieved in their own ways, some pretending that the sadness never affected them, others found comfort in solitude and remembrance. Morax, on the other hand, felt responsible. He should have helped her more than he did. But of course, war must go on. And so it did. He watched his Adepti fall one by one. Leaving only a few Adepti to serve and protect the new Liyue for the rest of time.

...Present Day...

(Y/N) had found herself once again in the care of the Adeptus, he spoke little to no words, only greetings and farewells filled the warming room. She sat on the bed, clutching an oil lamp close to her body. As time ticked on, her core didn't seem to warm. She felt weak and only grew weaker, she cursed under her breath whenever she tried to leave. The pain that filled her skin and racked her body made her tear up. It felt like her body was tearing itself apart from the inside. Sleep was little to none, she was driving herself up walls with this combination of symptoms. Waking up, she'd break out in a sweat and grasp her chest like trying to rip whatever was suffocating her was relieved.

Xiao was beside himself with worry, he was trying to absorb the debt that was building and building slowly but he couldn't take it all. He feared (Y/N) would snap and he'd be forced to end her life for a second time. After the third day, he made up his mind, he had to get Morax. He had to have him assist with this issue. He feared hurting the people in the inn and endangering the innocent. He stood on his usual balcony ready to report in only to be stopped by a blonde-haired boy and a floating thing beside him. They didn't see him but he was curious about what brought the pair to his balcony.
"Oh? He's not here?" The floating white-haired companion asked the blonde, the blonde only shrugs in response. They walked further looking into the distance. Xiao debated on making himself his own, and before long he made his choice.
"To the blind, everything may not be as it appears..." The pair jump at my sudden appearance.
After they collect themselves quickly holding up a Sigil of Permission.
"A Sigil of Permission? You came prepared." He sighs, growing slightly annoyed. Xiao didn't have time for this, he had to end this conversation swiftly. "Though this only prevents me from hurting you myself. Doesn't stop you from getting hurt in other ways."
"Uh... Paimon doesn't get it..." She drifts, oddly referring to herself in the third person.
"Too much contact with our world is breaking the rules," Xiao says quickly, trying to brush them off completely. "Mortal souls are not as robust as those of Adepti, nor can your blood carry this level of Adeptal energy." He deepens his response when the pair seemed unbothered. Still, they remained unmoving, annoyance grew steadily, not showing it of course. "It's for your own good. Leave. Now." Turning, he readies his departure looking for Morax's energy he was very familiar with.
"Wait a sec, we came here to..."
Xiao disappears before the floating child could utter the rest of her words. Xiao had more pressing matters to attend to. He couldn't waste any more time on this useless dribble.
