3 ~ my sky watcher

The sun had completely set, but there was still a light blue glow covering the surroundings. Mac and KJ were laying in the grass, staring up at the sky. Watching clouds roll by, listening to the sounds of each other's voices or the trees moving with the wind.

"You know, the world seems so calm just staring up at the sky" kj says, completely focused on the sight above her.

"You cheesy ass mother fucker" mac playfully laughed turning to look at KJ, watching her watch the sky.

"I'm not wrong-.. wait, what the hell did you just call me?!" Kj said as she fell on top of mac, and started to tickle her. Sitting up she held her down as mac's laughs filled the air around them.

"No, k-kaje I'm so-sorry, I'm sorry" she says through laughs, trying to push KJ off. But with years of experience in field hockey, KJ was stronger and able to keep her down.

"I do not accept your apology love. How dare you Makenzie" KJ said, jokingly.

A red tint spread across mac's features. Probably from all the laughing.

KJ looked down at her girlfriend, she stopped tickling her and just stared at mac. The brunettes lips lifting into a light smile.

Mac stared back, the same lightness in her expression. All worries left the girls in that moment. It was just them, the sky, and the ground. All together. They almost felt like one person.
KJ leaned down and placed a soft kiss on the gingers lips. Mac leaned up into the kiss to keep KJ close. Sitting up, mac put her hands around kj's neck, leaning into kiss her again.

They sat criss cross on the grass, by the swingset. Using eachother to hold they're weight. Mac pulled away, then quickly put a kiss on kj's nose. Kj's face was flushed a reddish colour. Clearly she was blushing.

Mac noticed, and decided to take this as an opportunity.

"Kaje, come lay your head in my lap"

KJ definitely questioned what mac was saying, but of course she wasn't going to refused.
She layed down again, but mac remained sitting, with her legs stretched out. KJ placed her head on mac's thighs. As the ginger ran her hands over kj's forehead and through her hair. Drawing shapes on her cheeks, and braiding random pieces of the brunettes hair.

Both girls felt completely comfortable and at peace.

17 minutes has gone by, and it was now time for the girls to head over to Erin's house. The 4 of them were all having a sleep over. Tiff was going to get there soon, and so they decided it would be a good idea to start walking.

While the 2 girls were walking to Erin's, kj reached down to grab mac's hand, the shorter girl's head sprang to face kj.

"Don't worry bug, it's too dark for people to see"

"I know.. hey, what's with the name 'bug' you randomly started calling me that today, but never told me why"

"Remember last week?" KJ said, a smirk appearing on her face.

"What ha-... Nooo, no that's not why!" Mac said, completely shocked. But also not really surprised.

"Hmm, okay so one. You're small like a little bug. Second. I love little bugs, and I love you. And third, you're scared of them so I think its funny."

"Fuck you, I am not"

"Mac Coyle, scared of bugs a thousand times smaller than her" kj says moving her one hand in a semi circle like she was presenting a poster.

Mac stoped walking then pulled KJ down into a kiss.

"Shut up please, fine I admit it, bugs are kinda scary."
