3 days later
i take a deep sigh, looking at the time. 8:24pm. hopefully olivia isn't busy. i pick up my phone, going to olivia's message. i start to type, sending the message.

'are you able to come over now?'

a minute later, olivia texts back.

'yeah i'll be there in 20'

i turn off my phone laying on my bed.

i hear a few knocks on my door, and i take a deep breath, walking downstairs.

i hold the door handle for a second, then pulling it open. i see olivia, holding a bouquet of flowers.

she looks at me, "hey." "hey, come in," i say, stepping to the side. olivia walks in, and i close the door. "these are for you," she holds out the flowers. "why?" i ask. "they're sorry flowers," she says. "thank you, they're pretty. i'll put them in a vase now," i say, taking the flowers. she follows me to the kitchen, and i open a drawer, taking out a white vase. i fill it with water, placing the flowers in. i look at olivia, and she looks at the flowers, looking at me. "we should talk," i say. olivia nods, and we walk to my room.

i sit on my bed, patting the spot in front of me. olivia sits down, crossing her legs opposite me. "so," i sigh, "it's not necessarily what you did that upset me." olivia listens to me, keeping eye contact. "where do i even start," i mumble.

i take a deep breath, "i know that relationships build off trust, so i know i also need to open up more." olivia gives an understanding nod. "okay... when i was 16, i had a best friend. her name was gwen stacy," i say, looking down and fiddling with my fingers as i still feel olivia's eyes still on me, "we were platonic soulmates. she knew about spider-woman. have you seen that green goblin guy a few years ago?" i ask. "yeah," she nods. "he needed my blood to save himself from dying. i couldn't do it, i didn't know the risks involved. long short short, he turned into green goblin. we fought, but gwen got in the middle of it. he grabbed gwen as he hovered over a clock tower. i told him it was between me and him. 'fight me, let her go,' i said. so he did. he dropped her. i jumped up, catching her as we fell through the clock tower. we landed on a metal grate, but it broke as he threw a grenade down. i caught gwen as she was falling, grabbed her by the hand. i drop her down safely, fighting green goblin again. he falls off his rocket glider, and it makes gwen fall down the clock tower. i shoot a web to her, pulling her up. until green goblin start to fight me again. the gears start turning, and i tried to stop it from cutting off the web with my foot. i couldn't. the web snapped off, and gwen starts to fall. all the gears start to break, hitting green goblin as he falls off me. i dive down to gwen, watching as she looks at me. no matter how hard i try, i can always remember her face. i shoot a web down to her, and her eyes close. the web gets on her, and i hang onto a pole. i..." my eyes start to tear up again, "i heard something snap. i drop down to her, she was laying there, lifeless. the web snapped her, the fall breaking her neck form the impact." "y/n..." olivia whispers. "i've been going over it in my head thousands of times since it happened, wishing i could rewind time to catch her instead," i shake my head, "she was only 16, olivia." i look up at her, eyes blurry. i blink, the tears falling down my cheek. i wipe them away, and olivia's eyes start to water too. "oh, y/n..." she whispers, taking my hands in hers. "she didn't deserve it," i say. "you didn't either. you were only 16," olivia frowns. "there's not a day i don't think about her," i say, "my overthinking paid off. i just... don't wanna lose you."

olivia sighs, "want a hug?" i nod, opening my arms. olivia leans forward, hugging me. i sigh, closing my eyes as i wrap my arms around olivia. i lean back, making us fall onto the bed. "i'm sorry for hurting you," olivia whispers. "it's okay," i whisper back, hugging her tighter.

olivia digs her head in my neck, "thank you for telling me. it must've been really hard to go through that, i'm so sorry." "don't worry about it," i whisper.

we lay for a few more minutes. "rodrigo?" i whisper. "yeah?" she says. "i'm glad you're here with me," i say. "i'm glad i'm here with you too," she says. i move my head, kissing her cheek. "i know this is... kind of a bad time," i say. olivia's hand goes to my cheek, rubbing it soothingly, "what is it?" "i... i wanted to know if you wanted to be my girlfriend. like, actual girlfriend. can i be your girlfriend?" i ask. olivia giggles, "of course. of course you can be my girlfriend. can i be your girlfriend?" "wouldn't want anything else," i smile.

olivia and i roll over, now facing each other as we lay on our sides. "stay the night with me?" i ask. "i'd love that," she whispers.

after getting ready for bed, olivia lays beside me. "are you okay now?" she asks. i smile softly, nodding, "i'm glad i told you." "i'm glad you told me," she says. i move closer, laying my head on her chest. olivia's arms wrap securely around me, and i close my eyes. "i'm tired, olivia," i whisper. "that's okay," she says, "sleep." "will you be here in the morning?" i ask. "of course," she whispers.

i wake up slowly, hugging olivia tighter. "good morning," she whispers. "good morning," i whisper back, "why're you always awake before me?" "it's 12:34pm, parker," she chuckles. "oh," i smile, "how long have you been up?" "only an hour," she says. "give me ten minutes, then i'll make brunch," i say. "okay," olivia says.

"no way! where abouts?" i ask, since olivia said she was doing a disney plus documentary. "la and salt lake city," she smiles, picking up her fork, "you might be in it, actually." "what? me?" i chuckle. "yeah! i can't tell you much, but if the team does decide to go with it, then you'll be in it," she grins, "just for a little." "scared i'm gonna steal your spotlight?" i smile. "definitely," olivia laughs. "so, which ones coming first? tour or the documentary?" "documentary," olivia says. "can i get first dibs on watching it?" i ask. "we'll have a watch party at someone's house," olivia smiles, "i'll get the doc before it goes on disney." "i'm excited!" i exclaim. "oh, me too," olivia says, "and, the tour post is doing really well." "i told you," i smile.
