Bobby Brown is still on stage, performing his song "My Prerogative" from his album Don't Be Cruel. "They've given me the signal that it's time for me to go, but I ain't ready to go yet. So, when I say 'Bobby,' you say 'Brown'!" Bobby shouts as the crowd goes wild.
"Bobby!"
"Brown!"
"Bobby!"
"Brown!"
"Get busy! Everybody talkin all these things bout me why can't they just let me live oooo" the song play ain't he background as Bobby and his backup dancers dance to it. "They say I'm crazy, I really don't care. That's my prerogative, they say I'm nasty but I don't give a damn gettin girls is how I live." Bobby starts singing, moving closer to the crowd, who eagerly try to touch him. Backstage, Michael Bivins and Ricky Bell wait, dressed in black caps with red outlines and yellow rompers decorated with street spray paint.
"Yo, RD here yet?" Ricky asks Mike, who shakes his head. "Nah." He responds, annoyed.
"Some messy questions. Why am I so real? But they don't understand me. I really don't know the deal," Bobby continues entertaining the crowd as they go wild. "Hey, I'm here," Destiny announces, stepping into the backstage area making the guys look up to see her. "Hey des looking beautiful" Mike says flirting making Destiny shake her head. Destiny's performsce was after the group so she was wearing a black, strapless top that wraps around her chest and ties at the waist with a belt featuring a prominent buckle. She pairs this top with high-waisted black leather pants that have a shiny finish, giving them a sleek look. "You better stop before Ralph get you" Ricky says making him roll his eyes playfully. "They not together" Mike responds making Ricky shake his head.
"Anyways I wanted to wish you guys luck before yall went on," she says, before looking at the stage where Bobby is grinding on the stage causing her to roll her eyes. "He's still on i see" Destiny says pointing to Bobby who was dancing on stage. "Man, how long he been out there man?" Ronnie asks, walking over with a hood on his head. "Three hours," Mike replies at the same time Ricky says, "Too long."
"Tell me why" Bobby sings as the guys glare at him. "So what? That leaves us time for, like, two songs, and Johnny maybe one and destiny practically none at all ," Ronnie says, clearly annoyed. "Yeah it's not fair to her, him or us" Mike says agreeing.
"Man, I'm sick of this shit," Ronnie mutters, taking off his leather jacket. He signals his bodyguards to go around to the other side of the stage. "Guys, I don't think we should do this; I have a bad feeling," Destiny murmurs uneasily, sensing trouble.
"It'll be fine. What's the worst that can happen?" Mike says giving her a smile before stepping onto the stage. "Yo, yo, yo, this is BBD's Ronnie DeVoe. Yeah, yeah, y'all give it up for Mr. Bobby Brown. But, New Mexico, I only wanna know one thing. Y'all ready for some BBD?" Ronnie asks the crowd, who go wild causing Bobby to stop dancing and turn to him in confusion. He then walks to Ronnie.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Bobby whispers angrily into Ronnie's ear. "What's it look like I'm doing?" Ronnie replies, staring him down. Bobby knocks his shoulder into Ronnie's as he storms off stage, looking pissed. BBD's song "Poison" starts playing, and Ricky, along with their backup dancers, joins Ronnie on stage as they begin their choreography.
"Girl, I, must (Warn you)
I sense something strange in my mind" Mike sings in front of the crowd as they all try to touch him."Where ya boys at man? You gonna do something about that? Huh huh son?" His manager yells in his ear as Bobby glares at his ex friends on stage dancing. "He's not making it any better" Destiny thinks as she watches the scene play out before giving a brief look at her friends who are performing.
"Let's cure it 'cause we're running out of time"
Ronnie sings as he switches with Mike. "They're acting like a bunch of bitches!" Bobby yells, storming off. His manager, adding fuel to the fire, shouts at him to hype him up. "What are we gonna do!?" the manager yells in Bobby's face, sparking an idea."It's oh, so (beautiful) Relationships they seem from the start. It's all so (deadly). When love is not together from the heart" Ricky sings into the crowd as the others dance in the background. "Bobby, calm down, please," Destiny says, trying to soothe him but he pushes her away before going and getting a hose, and tries to spray them but it malfunctions.
"It's drivin' me out of my mind! That's why it's hard for me to find" Ricky sings to the crowd meanwhile Bobby is still trying to get the hose to work. "Man, I can't get this shit to work!" Bobby shouts, dropping the hose. He storms back on stage, heading towards Ronnie. "Oh shit," Destiny thinks, covering her mouth. The two start fighting, causing chaos. Destiny runs to Brooke, finding him with Ralph. Bodyguards manage to push everyone off stage and backstage. Ralph and Brooke watch the chaos unfold.
A group of Bobby's men surrounds Ricky, and a fierce fight breaks out. Mike tries to separate Ronnie and Bobby, who are already trading blows, but the chaos intensifies, and everyone is pushed backstage by their bodyguards. Ralph, Brooke, and Destiny watch in confusion as the quarrel escalates. Johnny and a few ladies are shoved aside, struggling to stay out of the chaos.
"Destiny!" a voice suddenly calls out. She looks up just in time to see a gun pointed at her. A sharp pain sears through her side, and she feels blood dripping onto the floor. She collapses, clutching the wound, her vision blurring.
The boys rush to her side as the gunman flees. "Des, stay with me! Des, stay awake, please!" they plead, their voices urgent and panicked. The sounds around her grow muffled, the frantic shouts and cries fading into the background. She struggles to stay conscious, the pain overwhelming her senses.
Ralph frantically calls for an ambulance, his voice trembling with fear. Mike tries to apply pressure to the wound, his hands shaking. Brooke looks around desperately, searching for the shooter, but he has disappeared into the chaos. The scene is a blur of panic and confusion, the lights and noise of the concert fading into a distant memory.
Destiny's breathing becomes shallow, and her grip on consciousness weakens. "Stay with us, Des," someone whispers, their voice a lifeline in the darkness. As she slips in and out of awareness, the faces of her friends blur together, their fear and determination etched into her memory. The world narrows to a pinpoint of light, and she fights to hold on, the pain and noise fading into a distant hum.
It wasn't always this way. Back then they actually loved to be around eachother and there was no real drama.
We need to take it back....before all the drugs...the fame....the music.....the girls and ......the money.
Can we rewind back time?
