One Piece Guys x F Reader |You're Going To Be A Dad|

Roronoa Zoro

Telling him:

Zoro was working out on the deck of the Sunny. He was lifting weights. You had just found out that were pregnant and after talking with Nami, you thought this would be the perfect time to tell him the news.

You walk up to him with an obvious pep in your step and shoot him a smile.

"What's up?" he asks

"I have something to show you".

The green haired man places his weights down and wipes the sweat from his forehead "Okay"

You reach into your pocket and pull out a much smaller pair of weights. They are starter size so they didn't weigh much at all. You hand them to him and he takes them into his hand and looks at them clearly confused.

"Don't get me wrong... I appreciate the thought but I can't work out with these" he says, still looking down at them.

You interject "Oh, I know. That's why I didn't get them for you".

"Then who did you get them for? These look like they are for a child or hell, even a baby".

"That's because they are".

"Huh? What are you getting at? There are no babies on this crew".

"Well, there will be soon".

"What are you talking about?"

You facepalm and then hold both of Zoro's hands and smile with excitement "I'm pregnant, Zoro!"

"Hold on a second. Are you serious?" he steps back, face blank

"Yeah, I just found out. Are you...okay?"

"Yeah, I just need a second to take this in... I'm gonna be father. Do you think that I would be a good dad? Wait, are you kidding? Hell yeah, I would!"

The distance between you and him is closed when you hug each other. "You'll make a fantastic father. You're strong and loyal. ...You get lost a lot, too".

Zoro chuckles and hugs you back tighter.

Delivery or soon after:

The Sunny was being steered by Franky. He was escorting you and Zoro home, as your due date was approaching. You spent the past 9 months on an island that was rumored to hold treasure. You helped out to the best of your ability until it became too dangerous for you. When it eventually got to that point, Franky agreed to take you and your husband.

"Alright, I'd say we got another 2 hours until we make it to your home village with its hospital. Hang tight, alright, guys?" 

You are sitting in a chair in your cabin with your eyes closed, on the verge of falling sleep. Zoro is sitting in a chair not far across from you, staring at you. He hasn't taken his eyes off of you since you closed your eyes over an hour ago. 

"She's due any day now. I can see that she is uncomfortable, constantly shifting. I'm worried we may not make it to the village in time" he thinks to himself. Quietly standing up as not to disturb your nap, he tip toes to the door and peaks his head out. "Hey, Franky, can we make this thing go any faster? I'm kinda worried she might...ya know soon".

"This is as fast as I can make the Sunny go without causing [Y/N] too much movement. I'm sure she will be fine. You said she was sleeping, didn't you?"

"Well, yeah, she is".

Coming back inside of your room, he sits back down where he was, continuing his monitoring. It isn't long until he drifts off to sleep. It also doesn't take long, however, for his worries to become a reality...

"Zoro!" you shove the green haired man's shoulder. He doesn't wake up right away so you throw a book that was on the nightstand next to you at his head. That woke him.

"WHAT? What is it? Are we at the village?" he asks, disoriented 

"No! My water broke! The baby is coming now!"

"What!? Let me ask Franky how much longer it'll be until we get there..." Zoro quickly stands up and trips on his way out of the room due to sudden lightheadedness. "Hey, Franky! She is going into it now! I told you this would happen!"

"Well damn. We are 30 minutes out. You're gonna have to help deliver that baby or somehow keep it inside of her until we get there! Maybe try telling the little one it will be grounded for the first year of its life if it comes early! Hahahah!"

"What!? Franky! I don't know what to do! God, where is Chopper when you need him?!"

Zoro hears his name from your room

"I'm here! I'm here. I'm sorry. I had to tell Franky what was going on. Let me lift you onto your bed" He cautiously picks you up, removes the blankets of your bed, and lies you down.

"I don't think there is much time, Zoro. The baby is coming now" you say as you wince in pain, lifting your knees up.

"Dammit! We are a half hour away from the hospital, [Y/N] so...so we're gonna have to remember the crash course Chopper gave us. We gotta get you undressed".

He quickly yet carefully removes your pants.

"We're gonna need towels. I will be right back".

Zoro runs outside of the room and to the back of the ship, snatching some towels from the clothes line. He dashes back in.

"I got them. Let me put one under your back- What? It's coming out right this second!? Can't you hold it?"

"No and we don't have time to set up!"

Zoro puts a towel over his hands and proceeds positions himself so the baby can land safely into the towel. "Dammit! Can you just stop- Okay, okay, never mind! Ah jeeze! Gross! Just breathe, alright? Let me know when you feel another contraction- Oh, God, it's coming!"

He catches the baby and wraps it up in the towel and he begins to cry.

"You.. you did it!  Damn that was fast. It's a boy! He's here... Aw.. you're so upset, little guy. Sshhhh sshhh.. You're mad at the world, aren't you? Tell me all about it. Hey! Hey! Why won't it stop crying? Does he hate me?! "

You manage to sit up and shoot Zoro a smirk

A smile is on his face too. He holds your son close to his chest. 

"Your mom is right here, too, don't worry"

Future: 

You and Zoro are fast asleep in the hospital room. You stay in your hospital bed and Zoro is on the spare wall mattress. It is the middle of the night and everything is quiet until your baby starts to cry from its crib. You were exhausted but the crying still woke you. You stir and start to sit up but you feel Zoro place his hand on your shoulder.

"It's alright. I got him".

You didn't protest. Instead, you smile at him and lie back down.

Your husband lets out a big yawn and swings his feet over the bed, planting his feet on the floor. He stretches out his arms and makes his way to your son's nursery.

"Crying again, I see. Don't worry, I've got a ya. Mom's a little tired right now so I took over. Sound good?" he speaks to the baby as if it is comprehending his words. He puts him in a swaddle and holds him close. "You gave your mom and I a big scare, ya know that? I can't wait to tell you all about it but for now now, let's get you to calm down. We all need some sleep" he kisses him softly on the forehead.
