Rimuru: ok first some ground rules. 1, do not change the past in a way that will ruin what we know. 2, do not use the information we know to disadvantage each other. and 3 keep the future hidden from everyone not here unless impossible. sounds fair

nobody agreed and headed their own way, Rimuru teleported a few individuals, knowing that when arriving the past selves were absorbed, making everyone a little stronger.

Rimuru: ok, first of all, those that have a current home will head back now. Tear, Laplace, you two will go and join up where you should be about now. Ranger, Gobta. you two will go and get things ready for our arrival. Diablo, Testarossa, Carrera and Ultima, go and recruit the Black Numbers again. everyone understood?

Everyone: Yes Master.

ok, those that stayed behind include Zegion, Kumara, Adalman and Veldora

Rimuru: Zegion do you not wish to save your family?

Rimuru first meets with the Direwolfs on the path and converses with the leader

the story told by Rimurus subordinates is that they came across a powerful foe who after fighting offered a name, the reason changes for different individuals but it's almost always the same. Ranga's case was that he refused to run back to his pack in fear for their lives. impressed the being gave him a name and offered to protect his pack in return for servitude.

Rangas Father: which one of you named my son

this would have been a good greeting if not for the fact he ignored Rimuru to look at Aldaman and Kumara, Rimuru always hides his aura so nobody can really know how strong he is

Ranga is getting annoyed and corrects his father only to be ignored. clearly not believing him.

Rimuru would find this funny if not for the fact that Ranga was about to kill his own father, not to mention the other two.

Rangas Father: hmm, you expect me to believe this weak human could possibly name a Direwolf, how weak do you think we are!

Rimuru: weak enough to lose against a slime probably, want to test it?

Rimuru then went to his slime form. ranga and co calmed down and Rangas father got pissed

Rangas Father: You Dare to mock us, I will kill you!!!

he ran toward Rimuru only to get trapped in sticky thread, Rimuru then let a small amount of his aura out and Rangas Father's eyes went wide. 'I tried to fight this?'

suddenly he was dropped and bowed to the slime,

Rangas Father: My apologies, I offer my head so please spare the others

Rimuru retracted his aura impressed by the Direwolfs choice he then gave an offer.

Rimuru: I'll let you choose, leave or join?

There was no risk, if the father ran Ranga will take over the pack. why not give him the choice
