vee looked around at everyone in the room, deciding to try getting out first.
"bambi, think straight first. if we get out we can go get help from the authorities." vee prompted, making her way over to the large double doors that lead out of the school. she tried both pushing and pulling the door, but it just wouldn't budge. she tried the other set of doors, before reporting back to the group that-
"both doors are locked shut." ruu looked at vee incredulously, annoyed already.
"there is no way we're stuck- is this all a game?!" she exclaimed as she fiddled with one of the straps on her backpack.
"is there only thirteen of us apparently involved?" yin spoke up, earning the attention of the other twelve people in the lobby area. ruu's eyes scanned the room quickly, counting the people.
"yes-?" zensho just looked around confused. moon noticed this, silently making her way over to the other. if they're confused then they'll be confused together.
vee, after hearing ruu's words, counted the people in the room again.
"yeah there is-" before vee finished her sentence, another set of footsteps could be heard coming down the hallway from the performing arts department.
"council head-?" ruu muttered, ming making himself present in the lobby only after the announcements were made.
"you- you guys all heard the announcements right-?" he asked, earning several scattered nods from people.
"hold on, where were you during the entire ten minutes after the announcements were made? you're looking really suspicious right now." adri spoke up, holding solid eye contact with the student council head while still silently comforting the heartbroken bambi.
"as council head, what i do is strictly contained within the student council and school staff." ming stated seriously, the playfulness of the usually bright student concealed perfectly.
"..i'll be watching you mr council head." adri said, eyes only ever leaving ming for a couple of seconds.
"guys- what if the killer left clues? like traces on accident- we should go look around to see where the person could have come in." soon after nobel informed what she thought, everyone was quiet in their seats. looking at each other, each suspecting a different person.
"what if they have connections with the principal somehow? the person probably has a reason to kill him." bambi said looking at mari. in her thoughts it makes sense since mari was always walking around with the principal.
"why are you looking at me? i didn't do nothing! we don't have any information and it's probably some stupid joke." everyone looked at the girl trying to understand why she was so defensive.
"let's calm down, ok? everyone is confused and we should work together. the principal is dead and there's nothing we can do about it." miko was trying to lighten the mood.
didn't work. while everyone was arguing, the lights went out. some started to curse the rain for this happening and others just kept quiet.
suddenly the lights came back on. all of them paralyzed and with expressions of shock.
"what just happened?!" moon said, rolling her eyes over the room.
"i don't know." trying to stay calm, ruu was looking at the floor until she realized something. "wait, where's mari?"
looking at ruu, everyone went silent. when they realized it was too late. mari was gone.
"oh no this can't be happening" miko started crying. her legs began to lose balance and she fell to the floor along with her tears.
nobody knew what to do. someone was probably dead and they didn't do anything about it. until some of them got up and started looking for something that might help. the others were influenced and eventually went to do an investigation as well.
they would do anything to make sure no one else died. or at least that's what they thought.
