Verna Amila Tansmia, the High Lady of the Spring Court, stood in the meadows of the her court. She closed her eyes as the wind picked up at her hair, blowing the soft ginger colour around her face. Her dress was blowing around her, the soft lilac dress did nothing to hide her pregnant stomach. She closed her eyes and allowed the spirits to talk to her.

Hello mother of Spring. They said.
Hello, children lost.
We don't care for that name, Verna Tansmia. The High Lady. Such a sweet name and title you have. A shame you are not the first of his bloodline.
Stop speaking in riddles. Verna ordered.
They are not riddles they are your past and future. If you open your eyes you might be able to tell—hello daughter of night.

Verna opened her green eyes and turned to look at Lilith. Verna gave her a soft smile. Lilith looked the High Lady up and down as she said,
"You okay?" Lilith asked.

The two females had become closer these last three and a half months. But that still did not mean that they forgave one another for their family history

"I'm being sick every five minutes and being treated within my own court." Verna snapped back. "So no, I'm not okay."

"At least you have your mate to help you."

"I would indeed be lost without your brother." Verna said slowly. "I thank the mother each and every night for saving him and not my father." She looked at her hands. Her fathers death where on those pretty little hands of hers. "And yet. . .I cannot help but wonder what if. What if my father had lived. Our lives would be so different."

"And some would not be made at all." Lilith said looking at the swollen stomach of the High Lady. "Why did you call me here? Because I don't believe it's so we can have a friendly conversation."

"I'm under the impression that the island that Scalswind was build upon is home to many creatures of nightmares. Creatures that we here, keep in the middle." Verna said. The long grass growing around her. She looked like a queen of old. "I. . .I also hear, that they allow witches to walk around among them. That one of their lords is a witch. I. . I talked to Sage about getting yourself a charm." Was she blushing a little? "Here." Verna said pulling out her hand. Two charms where on golden necklaces. One the shape of the moon. The other, the shape of the sun. "For you and Theodora of course."

"I don't like Theodora. But thank you." Lilith said.

"Why don't you like Theodora?" Verna said. "In my whole of two conversations with the princess of day, she seems sweet. Girly even."

"She is a cunt." Lilith replied. "Who snitched on me to my parents about me being a les—"

"Lilith!" A female in the grass called. Both females turned their head to see Circe trying not to trip over her blue down. "Verna." Circe said out of breath.

"My High Priestess." Verna said smiling. "I was not aware we where close to your temple."

"Oh your not." Circe said huffing and puffing. "Man I hate being half fae." She breathed deeply. "Okay. I'm better."

"And your sure it's not being your just unfit?" Lilith said.

"Darling, I am the daughter of the late lord of Scalswind, descendent of the first lord of Scalswind, Inky Van Rosenburg. I'm the granddaughter of the Queen of Many faces, Margarita Bathory herself and of course her mate, a prince of the Winter Court, Solis Elfinson." Circe said rolling her black eyes. "Oh and don't forget distant cousin of Verna here."

"Circe was looking back in her family tree." Verna explained. "My great great grandfather, was the last High lord of the Westa dynasty to rule over the Spring Court. With my great grandmother as he oldest daughter who then married my great grandfather and so on until me. A long and complicated journey from Westa to Tansmia rule but still. Anyhow, Circe here is also a descendent of the Willow. The woman my great great grandfather raped and got pregnant. The child of course also being Circes ancestor."

"Ah." Lilith said. "Why are you telling me this?"

"I'm painting a picture for you. So you understand where I stand in the political world. And of course all my ancestors are also my sisters." Circe spoke. "Who you will be meeting tomorrow."

"Iv already met Nicole before."

"I know." Circe said. "But that was here. You have never meet Lord Nicole of Scalswind, the mother and warrior. You have only met Nicole, the friend and sister. You will soon learn that they are two different people."
