The gray haired female looked up and Lilith before putting a pale white hand up to her. Lilith sighed before she allowed herself to fall into the wooden floor, not talking Scarlet Elfinsons hand at all. Now eye level with the female, Lilith realized that Scarlet was an beautiful woman. At the age of seven hundred and twelve, she had never married, claiming that she had never even taken a single lover to her bed, that she was in fact a virgin still. That she was truly the end of the Elfinson line. Of course the line carried on with her eldest brother, Solis with his grandchildren Nicole and Circe. But Scarlet was the last person in the world with the last name Elfinson, a name she would never pass on to any children due to the fact she would never have one.

If I have a son, my cousin, the High Lord of the Winter Court would name him as his heir and if I shall have a daughter, the other High Lords of Pythian would try and marry her into their bloodline before she could even walk. Scarlet was rumored to say just this last spring when someone had asked her why she would have no children.

Looking closer to the female, Lilith saw that Scarlet had marks the left side of her face. That went down to her neck and covered her left arm. And her gown. . .it was at least seven hundred years out of date, and of Winter Court make. Lilith bit her lip as she thought about it, of who it could belong to. And why, she would have scars of burn marks on her body.

"You where smarter then Velaris is seems." Scarlet smirked. "And before you ask, yes, this is my mothers gown. A gown owned by a woman who died seven hundred years ago. And yes, these burn marks are of the same night that I lost my brothers and father."

"You knew my aunt?" Lilith asked. Scarlet blinked her ice blue eyes. Erica's eyes. Lilith had to look away. "Y-you said her name."

"Ah yes." Scarlet said. "Velaris was a. . . Dear friend of mine. For many years. Almost like a sister. When we where younger we played husband and wife. She was of course the husband and I the wife." She laughed at the memories the thought gave her. "I cried when I learned of her death. However, I see her in Freya Evermore all the time. Funny that."

"It was my belief that Freya Evermore, the dragon shared nothing in common with my aunt." Lilith replied.

"Oh." Scarlet laughed. "They share more then one thing girl." She looked Lilith up and down. "I wanted to see if I could see her in your face. I cannot. What a shame."

"Whose face?" Lilith snapped.

"Velaris. Your aunt." Scarlet said rolling her perfect blue eyes. "I cannot see her in you."
Lilith did not know why, but the thought made her upset. That she looked nothing like the female that died three hundred years before her birth. "What a same." Scarlet Elfinson then turned on her feet, lifting up her blue gown and walking out of the room. Lilith hissed before she followed the woman out. How dare she just walk into her room and then leave! Lilith saw rage on her face as she followed Scarlet out of the room. She barely saw the skirt as she turned a hallway just Lilith was able to keep up. "Sorry about that." Scarlet said, "I just needed to see."

The female beside her was dressed in all in black, from her gown to the gloves that covered her fingers. But her hair. . .it was beautiful. As red as first blood and her eyes where a deep hazel.

"You have a shadow." The female said slowly. She turned her head at Lilith. "A pretty little shadow."

Something about the strange females voice was both familiar to Lilith, and yet at the same time so strange. Her hazel eyes smiled at Lilith. Scarlet only turned around.

"Oh." Scarlet said. "I thought our conversation was over."

"You followed me into my rooms! Said I looked something like my aunt, then said it was a shame and then walked out." Lilith hissed. "Of course I followed."

The female blinked before looking at Scarlet, hitting her arm. Scarlet sighed as she said, "Sorrow miss Artemis." The female then snapped her head to the girl and looked her up and down. "What? Did Kat not tell you?"

"Kat tells me nothing." Replied the female looking at Lilith. "Are you truly Rhysands
daughter?"

"I'm afraid so." Lilith asked confused.

"Well then, it's nice to meet you." She gave her her hand. "I used to be a friend of yours fathers—"

"Your Margarita." Lilith said blinking. She would not lie to herself and say that she
was not proud for working it out. "You are Margarita."

"I am."
