my first band mate

god she even sounds the same
"so thank you for paying for dinner but next time it's on me okay?" she says at her doorstop and tucking a hair behind her ear
"maybe... we shall see" i say chuckling at her
"so are you doing anything tomorrow?" she asks tilting her head in curiosity
"oh it's a sunday. i have church actaully" i say trying to stay serious until i see her start to smile
"church? Eddie you haven't gone to church since 1st grade" she says smiling
"i'm kidding, i'm free, just call me and we can plan something okay?" i say opening the front door for her
"sounds good, i'll talk to you soon Eddie" she says hopping inside and waving goodbye at me as i close the door
a million thoughts are running through my head as i leave
is it possible those feelings i had just three years ago, are still around?
her smile is in my head
the way she sticks out her tongue when she's trying to think
but at the same time i'm worrying
will she realize college is better for her then being in a small town band?
will she realize she deserves better then a small town freak?
