Amias puts the last of his office work books in a box, closing and taping the box shut before flicking his wand, making the box vanish. Amias had been secretly cleaning his most important things in the house and moving them to his new mansion across the world.
He hadn't told Mazarine about it and had made the rest of his family and some of the maids helping him keep it a secret from her. He can't have her know he's leaving. She couldn't know about the problems and the up coming war from Emery. He needed to know she'd be safe from his dangerous life.
Mazarine then knocked on the door before peeking her head in.
"Amias?"
"Yes Angel?"
"What's going on to your office?"
Mazarine asks, looking around to see the empty shelves and drawers.
"I want to redecorate in here."
Amias quickly comes up with an excuse, looking to see if his quick response had blown his cover.
"Can I help?"
Mazarine asks with enthusiasm, excited to show off her creative art skills.
"Of course you can, honey."
Amias answers with a smile, but his heart sinks with guilt and sorrow. To see her so excited, it breaks his heart to know he has to leave her in 2 days.
Amias walks over to Mazarine and wraps his large hands around her small, lightly dipped in hips. He rubs small circles, leaning down to kiss the top of her head, his face resting there in her amazing and comforting smell.
"I love you, Amias. With all my heart."
Mazarine mumbles into his broad chest, tightening her grip around his torso and nestling more into his warmth.
Amias' heart warms as he gently rubs his fingers through her long black hair.
"I love you too, Mazarine."
Amias smiles, kissing the top of her head again. It then all hits him. He'll never be able to say that to her again. He'll never be able to hear her say that ever again, to hear her soft angelic voice, to be able to smell her sent, to have her there to comfort him, to have her cuddles and support. It's all slipping from his fingers as fast as it came to him.
"With all my heart."
Amias whispers, holding onto her tighter, lifting her off the ground and letting her legs wrap around his torso to replace her arms which are now wrapped around his neck.
"You better."
Mazarine whispers, giggling as soon as she said it.
"Oh yeah?"
Amias questions, smiling widely. His fingers travel to her sides and starts to tickle her, feeling her body tense and clutch onto him even tighter.
"Amias!"
Mazarine squeals, trying to jump off his tall form but is kept tightly pressed to Amias by just his one hand.
"Ok stop!"
Mazarine squeals again, thrashing in his hold.
Amias soon stops, laughing with Mazarine and letting her relax in his hold. He lets her slide down his body, looking deep into her big green eyes.
There's a sudden knock on the door that snaps both Amias and Mazarine out of their thoughts.
"Yes?"
Amias' voice is firm with authority, very different compared to the voice he uses with Mazarine.
A maids head peeks in, a sheepish look on her face.
"The king wanted me to inform you both that lunch is now ready."
"Thank you, Delilah."
Amias nods, watching the maid blush before closing the door behind her.
"Are you hungry, baby?"
Amias whispers, putting his full attention on Mazarine.
"Mhm."
Mazarine nods, peaking Amias' lips with hers before strutting out the big wooden office door. Her hand gripping Amias' and dragging him behind her.
"Mazarine!"
The twin squeal, shimmying out of their seats and running to Mazarine. They wrap their arms and her waist, nestling their faces into her lower belly.
"Hi girls. How are you?"
"Good!"
Amira smiles brightly up at Mazarine, her blonde hair shuffled and out of place from her run to her.
"That's good. How about you Martha?"
Mazarine glances to the little girl still with her face nested into her stomach.
"Do you have a baby in here?"
Martha suddenly asks, looking up with her big blue eyes to Mazarine. Amias almost chokes on his spit, his eyes wide with shock.
"Martha!"
Lily scolds, looking at her daughter with stern eyes.
"What? I want a baby sister."
Martha pouts, looking back to her mum before to Mazarine.
"Oh honey. That's not how it works."
Mazarine softly reply's, picking the girl up and tucking hair behind her ear.
"The baby would be your cousin."
Mazarine informs, grabbing Amira's hand gently and leading them both back to their seats for lunch.
"But do you have a baby in there?"
Amira asks, poking at Mazarine's stomach.
"No,"
Mazarine laughs, setting the girls in their seats and taking the seat beside them, Martha sitting beside Mazarine and Amira on the other side of her.
Amias takes his seat to the left of Mazarine, resting his hand gently on her thigh. The twins pout and sulk until their plates are set in front of them. Conversation starts around the table as everyone snacks on the appetizers as well as eats their meals.
"Mazarine your coming to our tea party after right? You got our invitation?"
Martha asks which gets Amira's attention.
"Yes, of course I got your invitation. I'll bring a special dessert."
Mazarin whispers with a grin on her lips, earning grins back.
"But that's our little secret."
Mazarine whispers again and the girls nod with a giggle.
"What are you three whispering about?"
Jay suddenly asks, looking around his wife to the three girls.
"Nothing!"
The twins answer quickly, trying to hold in their giggles.
After the food Mazarine was dragged by the twins to their play room for tea time. Along the way Mazarine had grabbed some cookies and scones to add to their little plastic table. Water was poured from the tea kettle and into their little tea cups. The girls talked in posh tones and acted highly of themselves, giggling at their silliness here and there.
