Mazarine licks the envelope closed before swishing her wand, sending the envelope that holds her apartments rent bill to her land lord. She's a little old lady that loves Mazarine to bits and was disappointed when she was told that Mazarine was leaving.

Mazarine had reassured her that she would be back to visit and would keep the apartment even though she was leaving. Which made the old lady feel better.

Mazarine knew that her sisters needed a place to stay and knew that they wouldn't even know what a bill was, never mind a rent bill. Mazarine also had many valuables in the apartment and would hate to leave them and have them destroyed.

Mazarine had been taken from her thoughts when Amias walks into the room, his dress shoes slightly clicking against the tiled floor. Mazarine looks up to Amias with a wide smile but her smile fades when Amias doesn't return it like usual.

"Hi,"

Mazarine smiles again, walking up to Amias who is shuffling through some papers.

"Hi."

Amias bluntly says, not even looking up from his desk.

"What's wrong?"

Mazarine asks, gently touching his hand thats resting on the table.

Amias brushes her hand off and stands up to leave the room with a document for his father.

"Amias. What's wrong?"

Mazarine asks again, trying to get his attention.

Amias had decided that ignoring her and distancing himself was going to make his plan much easier. But it was killing him, to see her big smile fade and her concern towards him, and to just leave without another word towards her.

But he couldn't let himself cave, he needed to be strong and stick with the plan. This is what he has to do to protect Mazarine. He wouldn't be able to live knowing that she could have lived a normal happy life if he would have just stayed away.

Mazarine watches Amias leave without another glance towards her direction and she felt her heart sink. Did she do something to upset him or hurt him in anyway? Maybe confessing her past with him was too much for him to handle, maybe she should have just kept her mouth shut like she always did.

Mazarine had tried for the rest of the day to get Amias' attention and to get him to talk to her. But he would just brush her off after mumbling about some work he had to do in his office. At one point Mazarine had caught Amias playing with the twins out in the field after he had told her that he needed to get some work done. Which was fine, but he didn't have to lie to her to get away from her.

Mazarine had just kept herself cooped up in the library, looking at all the books until a maid walked in.

"Miss.Macklin. Dinner is read."

She politely informs Mazarine. To which she just earns a nod and soft smile in return.

Mazarine had felt more insecure about their relationship and more worried she had done something wrong. I mean Amias couldn't even come and get Mazarine for dinner.

Mazarine follows behind the maid and enters the diner room, everyone else waiting patiently. Mazarine sits in her usual seat beside Amias, which is quiet on his end. But this dinner, to her right are the twins.

"Hi girls."

Mazarine smiles down to them, earning giant smiles in return.

"Hi Mazarine."

"We wanted to sit beside you today!"

Martha proudly states, squirming in her seat.

She was in the chair beside Mazarine, and Amira, who had just as much excitement and energy as Martha, sat just a seat away from Mazarine.

"We'll that's good. I've been missing all your company. We didn't have our tea party today."

Mazarine pouts, watching the girls' faces turn into a pout too at their realization.

"Oh no,"

"After dinner!"

Amira squeals, looking to her parents with big hopeful eyes.

"Honey, you know you have to clean up and then go to bed."

Lily says with a firm face.

"Pleaseeeeeeeee,"

Both Martha and Amira whine, pouting and giving puppy eyes.

"How about, I help you get ready for bed, hm? We can get read together? If that's alright with mommy and daddy."

Mazarine suggests, looking up to Lily and Jay. They smile with approving looks.

"That's alright."

Jay nods, a smile on his face at the bonding Mazarine and his girls were having.

"Yayyy!"

The girls cheer, clapping with big smiles back on their faces.

Dinner goes on and Mazarine helps the twins eat all while having all kinds of conversations with Diana Noah, and the twins.

"Come on, Zar!"

Martha squeals, pulling Mazarine out of her seat.

"Ok, ok. I have to go get changed, but I'll meet you in you room alright?"

Mazarine reasures, thanking Diana and Easton for the dinner before leaving.

She can hear Amias' dress shoes slightly clicking behind her. All the way to her room Amias' shoes were heated and even when she got to her room, his shoes walked right in.

"I'm glad your bonding with the girls."

Amias suddenly says, waiting for a response while Mazarine changes in her walk in closet.

"Are you serious?"

Mazarine's tone was harsh with disbelief.

"What?"

Amias questions, waiting patiently for Mazarine to leave the closet.

"Your just going to pretend like you haven't been ignoring me all day?"

Mazarine now leaves her closet in navy blue jogging pants and a white long sleeve.

"I have been-"

"Don't start that shit with me Amias."

Mazarine interrupts him, getting raised eye brows from in return.

"You haven't even batted an eye at me all day. You even lied to me and said you had to do some work but was playing with the girl outside."

Mazarine defends. She doesn't want to argue, but if he's going to act like nothing happened then she's going to fuss.

"If you don't want to see me, for whatever that reason is, then that's fine just don't lie to me about it."

Mazarine finishes and leaves her room with the door shutting behind her.

Amias sighs. He knew that he had made her upset with ignoring her, but he didn't think that saying a simple comment about the girls was going to make her snap. Although he now understands her frustration.

But he couldn't let himself get to far with being normal with her. He had to push through the guilt and pain to protect her. To make his plan a clean break. He didn't want to hurt her anymore then he already had to.
