At the Athletic Center

Austin pov

Brianna and I sit at one of the open tables with our food.

"So what are you majoring in?" I ask her.

"I'm a design major. How about you?" She asks.

"Computer Engineering." I say. Ever since I was younger, I have been interested in computers. My dad and I would build computers from scratch.

"Oooo that sounds so cool. That's way better than Design." Brianna says quietly. I don't know why, but it kind of hurts to hear her say that. I have seen what Design majors can do and it's absolutely amazing.

"Design is an amazing major. The pieces that the students come with are amazing. It's definitely more interesting than building computers every day." I tell her. She giggles a little bit. Damn, her laugh is so cute. She is so cute.

"So, besides basketball, what else do you do for fun?" Brianna asks.

"I like to read actually. It helps me destress. I also like to play video games. What do you like to do for fun?" I ask her.

"I also like to read too. I also like to watch basketball and draw." She says. I smile at her. She is so easy to talk to but yet she is so shy. After we finish eating, I walk her back to her place.

"I had a good time with you tonight and I really hope that you enjoyed tonight too." I say.

"I definitely enjoyed you too. I want to get to know you more." She says.

"Well, I can give you my number." I say. She hands me her phone and I type out her number.

"Just text me first. Goodnight, Brianna." I say.

"Goodnight, Austin." She says back. I start to walk back to my apartment. Brianna is so damn cute and sweet. There's a sense of innocence in her, but I feel like she is holding something back. I know that I just met her and maybe she's just not comfortable with opening up. I walk into my apartment and I feel my phone vibrate.

Brianna: You can just call me Bri :)

Am I blushing? I'm definitely not right. I don't know why I'm like this right now. I text her back.

Me: Gotcha and I didn't give you a goodnight hug 😔

Brianna: you can make up for it next time

I smile at my phone. I'm really glad that I had a good first impression on Bri. I hope that we can become friends or maybe even more than that.

Brianna pov

I like Austin. He is cool and I definitely want to learn more about him. It's a plus that he is really and I mean really attractive. While I am texting him, Hannah walks into the apartment.

"Girl, why are you smiling at your phone like that?" She asks.

"It's nothing." I tell her. I don't want to tell her about my interaction with Austin because I don't want her to overreact.  I walk to my room and close the door. I already miss him so much. I change into a hoodie and some spandex. I do a little spin in my mirror and I text Austin.

Me: I'm so bored

Austin: u want me to ft u?

"Shit." I say to myself. I don't want him to see me like this. I don't even look that good right now.  And Austin is so fine. I get up and put on just a little bit of makeup and text him back.

Me: yes please

A few minutes after I text back, he FaceTimes me. I put in my AirPods and answer my phone.

"Hi." I say.

"Hi." He says smiling. His smile is so damn cute.

"What are you up to?" I ask him.

"Just playing 2k. How about you?" He asks.

"Just relaxing." I say.

"You should come to our first game Monday. We play Sacramento State in PMAC." He says. There is no way he's inviting me to his game. I am kinda screaming inside. It's already one thing that he is talking to me while he's on the game but now he's inviting me to his game!

"Yeah, I'll definitely try and come." I say. Austin smiles. I hear Hannah knock on my door.

"Come in." I say.

"Are you on the phone?" She slurs. She sounds drunk asf.

"I am. Go back to your room, Han. You are hella drunk." I say. I glance down and I see Austin looking at me.

"No, I'm not. I don't know what you are talking about." she slurs as she lays on my bed. I roll my eyes and then my door opens. I see this guy standing in my doorway and I scream.

"Are you ok, Bri?" I hear Austin ask.

"Who are you? Hannah, who is this dude that you brought in this damn apartment?" I ask her.

"He's my link I met at the party." she says.

"Hannah, he has to go." I tell her.

"No, he doesn't." she says.

"Yes, he does." I say.

"Brianna, is everything ok? Do you need to hang up?" Austin asks.

"No, everything isn't ok and no, I don't need to hang up. I need this bitch to get this man out of this apartment."I say.

"He isn't going anywhere, bitch." Hannah says.

"Get the hell out of my room! Both of you!" I yell. Hannah scoffs and left with her dude. I close the door and let out a loud sigh.

"It's too late to deal with this." I say.

"Do you want to hang out tomorrow? So you can get some fresh air." Austin offers. I accept it and tell him goodnight. I can't believe this bitch had the audacity to bring this dude in without telling me. I know that Hannah likes her men and parties but I don't want to be in the mist of that. Hopefully, this hangout with Austin will give me a break.
