AJ's POV

After taking a shower to wash all of Ryan's blood off me, I change into my pajamas and go into the living room to watch the news. As soon as I turn the TV on, Aaron Hotchner's face flashes across the screen. "We have no evidence that these crimes were done by the same person." The newswoman flashes back to the middle of the screen.

"Agent Aaron Hotchner of the BAU says that these murders aren't serial, but do we believe him?"

I smile, knowing the media is having a field day with me and my nighttime activities. The agent's picture goes back on screen for a moment and I pause the screen. Studying his jawline, eyes, and hair to see if there's a flaw.

"How in the hell does this man not have any flaws?" I whisper to myself. He's handsome and smart, therefore, he is the ultimate package. I turn off the tv and walk to my room, flopping into my bed and covering myself with my blanket.

The next morning, I wake up, get dressed, and head to work in a record time of 20 minutes.  I don't even stop for coffee, I'm so nervous about work. I'm evaluating Agent Hotchner and Agent Jareau today after my first two appointments. I step out of my car, grab my purse, and lock my car. I practically run to the front door when I'm greeted by Josh. He hands me the files on all my patients for today and a coffee.

"Good morning, Doc!"

"Good morning Josh. How are you today?" I ask while walking into my office. He follows me in and sits in one of my chairs with a grunt.

"I would say good, but my date bailed on me last night. I was disappointed but I am over it now."

I turn to look at him. "Well, I was going to ask about how you felt after that, but you answered my question for me."

"You're a psychiatrist, it's not hard to guess what you would've said," He chuckles. He then gets up to leave but not before turning around.

"I'm ordering pizza for lunch, by the way."

I look up from the files on my desk. "Thank you, Josh." He shuts my door and I sit down in my chair.

Ending both of my patient's appointments early, I sit nervously in the breakroom waiting for Agent Jareau to arrive.

I rush through Agent Jareau's appointment, but not enough to strike suspicion. I stand in the lobby, waiting for SSA Hotchner to arrive for his appointment. The phone rings behind me, and I pick it up before Josh does.

"Doctor Parker's office, how may I help you?"

"Hello, this is SSA Aaron Hotchner. I was scheduled to have an appointment in thirty minutes, but my team was just called out on a case and we won't be back until Friday."

Trying to hide my disappointment from Josh, I take a deep breath. "Okay, Agent Hotchner, you can reschedule your appointment when you get back."

"Thank you ma-"

I hang up before he can finish his statement. I quickly walk back into my office and shut my door.

"Son of a bitch!" I throw my files down on my desk. I need a drink. I pack up my things and lock my office door.

"Are you going out again tonight?"

I turn and make eye contact with Josh. "How did you know?"

He rolls his eyes and starts packing his things. "Every time a patient cancels you get pissed off and drink until your brain doesn't function."

I flip him off as I walk to my car, throwing my stuff in the backseat. I drive for a little over two hours and end up at a bar in Charles town, West Virginia. I walk in, sitting at the bar while looking at my work emails. Fucking Aaron Hotchner. Why does he have an effect on me?
