When Bobby and Sam returned with news about the werewolf, they returned to find Dean and Kenzie in discussing their love for classic rock and food. Bobby closed the door behind him, and took seat on the sofa. "Sam, Dean, this is my niece, Mackenzie, Mackenzie? This is Sam and Dean Winchester. Their John and Mary's boys." Bobby finally introduced them.

"Nice to meet you, Kenzie." Sam smiled in her direction. He cleared his throat. "We have a lead on the werewolf who killed your parents." Sam started.

Kenzie's fists clenched. "I'm coming with you when you kill this son of a bitch!"

Bobby interrupted her. "No. Absolutely not. You're not coming this time, kid. After the loss of your parents, you've been through enough."

"But-"

"Don't but me, kid. There ain't no buts to it. End of discussion." He looked towards Sam and Dean. "I do have a favor to ask of you boys after we take out this werewolf." Bobby stood up. "Sam and I got a location as well." Bobby left the room for a moment and came back with everything they were going to need. "You stay put, we will back soon." He told Kenzie.

She let out a sigh of annoyance, but did as she was told. She was not one to go against whatever Bobby instructed of her to do.

After Bobby, Dean, and Sam left, Kenzie took a shower. She got dressed in her Zeppelin shirt paired with some jeans and a flannel. She put on her combat boots, which had been a gift from her father for her 26th birthday a few before their deaths. She hummed along to Kansas as she made her something to eat. She made herself a BLT.

Hours went by, Kenzie was sitting on the couch with AC/DC blaring, when Bobby, Sam, and Dean pulled up. She hadn't heard the sound of the Impala with the music being loud.

Bobby stopped the boys. "I want you boys to take her on hunts with you. To get her mind off her parents' deaths. I will pay you if I have to." Bobby asked Sam and Dean.

"Hey, no need to pay us. She will be safe with us anyways. I can assure you." Dean smiled at Bobby. Bobby rolled his eyes. "Dean, I swear, if you try anything with her-"

Sam interrupted. "Sounds like she's having a blast."

Dean, Sam, and Bobby walked into to see Kenzie dancing around to now a Bob Seger song. Dean's face lit up. Kenzie turned around, she gasped, clenching her chest. "Holy shit. How long have you been there?" She quickly turned the music down.

"Long enough, listen, the boys are going to take you with them. I trust you to stay out of trouble." Bobby gave her a hug. "You take care of your self. And I will be keeping tabs, you hear me?"

"You got it, Bobby." She smiled. She looked over at both of the boys, before she got the chance to grab her bags, Dean and Sam did. "Let us." Dean smiled, as they carried her stuff out to the Impala. After saying goodbye to Bobby, they began to journey.

Five hours into the long drive, Kenzie had fallen asleep in the backseat, clutching her father's jacket against her. It had been the last thing he had worn before him and her mother were killed. And now that the werewolf responsible for their deaths was dead, she could rest easy now.

Dean hummed to the song on the radio as he tapped the wheel. He looked back into the mirror at a sleeping Kenzie. Sam looked over at his brother. "Got a case. Wanna hear it?"

Dean nodded. "Yeah, what do you got?"

"Dodge City, Kansas, five teens found with their hearts carved out, and their eyes burned to the sockets. Says here, the victims had one thing in common." Sam looked up at Dean.

"Yeah, what's that?" Dean asked.

"They were all female, blonde hair, same height of 5'5, all with blue eyes. And all came from high class families." Sam read off.

"Witch maybe?"

Sam shrugged. "Don't know til we get there and talk to the victims families." Sam closed his laptop. He looked back at Kenzie who was still sound asleep, softly snoring.

"Looks like you and her have more in common." Sam chuckled.

Dean glanced at his brother. "You heard Bobby, she's off limits." Dean turned his attention back to the road. After driving for nearly 12 hours, Dean pulled into a motel so they could rest. Sam got them checked on while Dean carried a sleeping Kenzie inside. He laid her on the bed. With there only being two beds and a couch, he took the couch. Sam came back, closing the door.

"She's still asleep?" Sam commented.

"She's been through a lot, Sam. Of course she's gonna. Exhausted. I mean, can you imagine watching the people you love die the way her parents did? Because damn. I feel for her." Dean got comfortable on the couch after taking his shoes off. Sam got into the other bed, turning the light off. Soon, Sam and Dean were fast asleep.

Kenzie began having nightmares. She watched her parents die over and over again. She woke up screaming. Her hands gripping the sheets tightly. Sam and Dean woke up abruptly, rushing to her side. Her face was sweaty, she gripped the bed sheets, her breathing was fast.

"Hey, hey! It's okay, it's okay, Kenz." Dean called her that for the first time. "You're safe." Dean studied her for a moment.

"What happened?" Sam asked her, sitting beside her.

"Nightmare. I-I saw them die. Over and over again. Their face- the blood and b-bodies-" She stuttered. Dean pulled her into his arms. He held her against him as she cried heavily into his chest.

Sam shook his head. "She didn't deserve that." He mouthed to Dean. Dean nodded once. After that, Kenzie managed to fall back to sleep. Dean and Sam went back to sleep as well.

The next morning came fast. Sunlight poured into the room. Sam and Dean were already up, Kenzie wasn't however. And when Dean tried to wake her up, she swatted at his hands. "Go away, bastard." She mumbled sleepily.

Dean heard Sam snort a little. "Shut up, Sam." Dean huffed.

"She's like the female version of you." He commented, with a sly grin.

Dean shook his head, slightly amused at his brother's words. Kenzie finally woke up around 9:30 that morning, she stretched. "When did we get to a motel?" She asked, glancing at Dean and Sam who were sitting at the table going over the case.

"Last night. You were completely passed out. At least until you had a nightmare." Dean said, "We brought breakfast. Yours is in the microwave to stay warm." Dean added.

"Sorry for sleeping so late." She muttered, going to the microwave and grabbing her food, she sat down on the bed, and ate her food quietly.

"No need to apologize. You've been through a lot." Sam said, "You wanna hear what we got?"

She took a seat next to Dean. "Yeah, what's up?"
