"I am bored as hell!" I said as I plopped beside Alice, my brother's close friend and from a year ago, mine too. She completely ignored me as she continued playing on her phone. I frowned as I repeated what I said while shaking her arm. "I am bored as hell!" I said in a louder voice. Her fingers stopped tapping the screen of her phone. My eyes widened. Did she... just lose in her game...? I gulped in fear as her aura darkened. Oh, shoot! She did lose! I'm going to see Satan! Someone save me!

She faced my direction and with a scary expression set on her face, she punched me in the gut. "Oof!" I doubled over as I groaned in pain. "Go to hell." I heard her tell me. "Why did you hit me?!" I asked her as I tried to sit back up. She glared at me as she said, "You made me lose my precious reward in that game." I growled, "It was just a stupid game!" She sighed and looked away from me, which confused me.

"I loved that game." she said and I frowned, "That's not enough reason-" She didn't let me finish as she said, "Besides, it diverts my attention away from him." My anger faded away and I felt a cold breeze pass us by. So she still can't move on from him, huh? I sighed as I started to pat her head.

For the one year I've known her, I learned that she had a rough childhood. She coped up with her problems all alone for all the years she's passed by. She knows too much of life and she has experienced too much of life too. She only started opening up and started being happy, when she met her guy best friend. Her long-time guy best friend had passed away two years ago, and from that time, she just felt so hopeless.

"Stop messing with my hair, you pathetic girl." I heard her say. My eyebrows twitched in irritation; Pathetic girl, she says? THAT BRAT! "Why you little piece of-" I was, again, stopped with my sentence as we heard her phone ring. She sighed as she answered the call. "What do you need, you good-for-nothing?" she asked. I almost burst out laughing with what she called the person on the other line. She really likes giving insulting nicknames to people, huh.

She gestured to me that she needs to get some privacy for now with the caller and I nodded my head and mouthed to her, 'hurry up, okay?' while she agreed. Man, I don't know what's up with kids now-a-days, they need privacy with who they talk to. Haha, like I'm one to talk.

Suddenly, my own phone started ringing. I took the call as I looked up the skies. "Who is this?" I asked. I heard a snort from the other line, "Don't you look at the caller's ID before you answer your phone?" My brother asked. I huffed, "Well, I'm sorry- I was just admiring the clouds when you called." I said. I heard another snort from the other line. I rolled my eyes.

"What do you need?" I asked him. "Well, dad just wanted to ask what time are you going to be picked up from there." he said and I heard shuffling sounds before I heard the door creak open. "Come in," I heard Anthony's muffled voice say. "Thanks for inviting me over." Is that Nikka? Well, this is getting interesting.

"Hey, Anthony, you invited Nikka over?" I asked. "Yeah, we're going to do advance studying." I heard him say. I hummed. Studying, huh? What an excuse to see each other. I smirked. "Well, just text me what time you need to be picked up. I gotta go. Bye." He said and immediately hung up on me. I shook my head with a grin set on my face; I can't get those two. Why don't they jut admit that they like each other?
