Diana's POV.

It was New Year's Eve and of course I was on kitchen duty. I was out walking with Emily & Sierra as we looked for groceries for tonight's dinner. I kept checking the list to make sure we didn't forget anything. "I heard we're getting a new student- or rather an old one that's coming back" Sierra said
"And how the hell would you know that?" Emily asked.
"The all the doms in my class were talking about it"
"Really? Who is it"
"I don't know yet, but I heard they weren't even expelled. They just straight up walked out on school" that got my attention and started to get my thoughts going all over the place. Could it be him? Is he coming back? Can I face him after what he said if it is him?

"Uh hellooo earth to D are listening?" My head snapped up to Emily
"Hm?"
"I asked if you were ok"
"Oh, yeah I'm fine"
"Good, so find anything we need?" I shook my head with a small smile and moved to the next isle.

When we got back to campus I left to the kitchen and started helping the kitchen staff prepare everything for dinner. Once dinner was done I got to join the others and eat. After dinner Emily walked with me back to my dorm and helped me pick out a New Years outfit saying I should 'stop thinking about the new kid' I guess she picked up on it. I sighed and agreed. I got changed into a black dress with white fur on the top and bottom of it. Emily did my hair and makeup. Once she was done she ran back to her and her dom's dorm room and got changed herself while she was away I changed my necklace to a snowflake one. I don't know why but it felt right to have something winteresk on me.

A while later and I joined a few people on the roof of the school, taking in the breeze and letting the cold air calm my nerves. When it got to 11:30 I over heard some girl saying she saw the 'new' student and as she described him to the others I heard some whisper "do you think it's that hot guy who left a little while ago, I can't remember his name"
"Who? Krampus? Yeah I'm pretty sure it was definitely him I saw him in the principles office a while ago" that girl said. My eyes widened as she spoke and I started running back down into the the school. When I got to the principal's office the head mistress told me gave me a knowing look and simply said "he went to his room" I didn't get time to say thank you as I left running off to his dorm. I knocked on his door and found that the door was unlocked. I walked in and looked around but he wasn't there.

I stood in the middle of the dorm for a few minutes thinking of where he would've gone, then I remembered how much he liked the garden. I ran out of the dorm and started running down the stairs and threw the halls. As I ran I could head everyone start counting

"10.." please be there..

"9.."

"8.." I kept running to the garden and almost tripped a few times.

"7.."

"6.." the garden was in sight and I could see a tall figure standing there looking up into the night sky

"5.." I got there and the next words that left my mouth where not ones that I had meant to say nor expected to be saying.

"4..." slightly out of breath I stopped by the bench, still standing and said "you bitch!!"

"3.." he turned around and his beautiful redish-gold eyes met my teary purple ones.

"2.." I could see he was searching for words but couldn't find them so he just stood there wide eyed looking back at me.

"1.." we could hear people's cheering as fireworks started going off and lightning up the night sky.
