Duncan POV:Here we are in the wilderness, in the middle of nowhere.
Our team split apart for now. It's just me and Wave at the moment. When the opportunity arises, I will escape... but first I will take care of our follower.
Dr. Stylish trailed us all the way mostly because he doesn't trust me. He is smart, I will give him that.
Wave and I were walking between a valley filled with different rock formations. The perfect place for an ambush or sneak attack.
Wave: "I didn't want to say this in front of the team but you've got it rough, don't you? Let me know if you need to vent."
I glanced behind my shoulder and looked at him.
Duncan: "Thanks, but I'll be okay. Appreciate the thought though."
I noticed something moving behind Wave which still kept talking. I slowly reached for my shotgun that was strapped to my back making Wave a little nervous. I have to hide my powers... for now.
I dashed, jumped over Wave and aimed at a tree-like-creature, it had one eye and multiple roots acting as tendrils. I pulled the trigger blowing a hole through the beast, killing it.
As I landed on the ground, I pulled the lever ejecting an empty shell out of the shotgun.
Wave looked at me with wide eyes.
Wave: "Wow, thanks man. You saved me there."
I grabbed another shotgun shell and loaded the gun.
Duncan: "Not a problem, now stay focused, we got some bastards to take care of."
He nodded and showed a more serious expression. In front of us many more of those creatures rose from the ground, they opened their mouths showing their sharp fangs. Screeching like mindless animals in search for carnage.
Wave grabbed his blade and drew it, I narrowed my eyes knowing that he won't use his Teigu in this situation.
But this could work for me. I could use the chaos to escape, but... I can't let Wave deal with all these monsters on his own.
After a couple of minutes the number of monsters started to dwindle, I was more then certain that Wave could deal on his own now.
I used a smoke screen created by one of those creatures and ran away as fast as I could.
My eyes flared up as smolders rose up from my feet, my skins started smoking until it burned away, leaving only a blazing skull. I let the Rider out.
I whistled and called my bike which apperead from the ground in a torrent of flames. I petted the bike in exchaged she started to purr.
Duncan: "Good girl, now... let the hunt begin."
I mounted my bike, but before leaving I heard flapping of wings. I extended my arm and Azure used it as a landing spot.
Azure gave me the info necessary to find the new Wild Hunt. The raven flapped his wings and took off to the sky before he disappeared into black mist.
I grabbed the handles of the bike and revved the engine a couple of times before accelerating and making a U turn.
I kept driving until I rached a cliff. Jumping over it, I saw Stylish and a few of his lackeys.
The look of horror and disbelief on their faces was priceless.
