Ashley sat in her trailer, scrolling on her phone after she finished filming with the others. She was currently working on a new cheesy rom-com film, where she had met someone she was never going to forget.

Allison Hargreaves.

Basically, her acting idol, even though she and Allison are the same age. Allison had been working in the acting world a little bit longer than Ashley, but Ashley had been obsessed with her for years. And the best part, Allison liked her. Ashley thought Allison was going to hate her, but she didn't.

Stepping into the trailer, Allison started going on about the premiere of the movie and what she was going to wear.

"Whoah- back up. The premiere isn't for another week? We have time?" Ashley asked confusingly, she was new to this but she figured that she had time to figure out what to wear.

"What?! No. we're behind girl." Allison laughed as she sat next to the girl, scrolling on her phone and showing her all the options.

At the premiere, Allison and Ashley were only a few feet apart on the red carpet. Photographers were going crazy about them being together on the carpet, saying things like "yes you guys are so gorgeous" and other photographer bullshit.

But before they knew it, the photographers were all talking about Allison. More specifically, her childhood, and her father.

Allison had told her about the way she grew up, her siblings, and her powers. Ashley was surprised, but it didn't cloud the way she thought about her. It also hadn't crossed her mind, that they share a birthday.

Allison's secretary walked up and whispered something into her ear. Allison looked horrified, shocked, all at once. Ashley looked at her friend with sympathy, the girl looked so conflicted.

"My dad just died," she whispered, and Ashley gasped. She'd known Reginald hargreeves was not a good man but he was still her father. Ashley didn't know what she'd do without her father.

Her father was a single dad since Ashley was 5 minutes old. Her mother had complications during her birth and passed away. He tried his best to raise a girl all on his own, and Ashley thanks him for it. She knew she couldn't have been an easy child to take care of, for a few years when she was a teenager she blamed him for her mother dying. Even though he never blamed her.

"Are you okay?" Ashley asked, her arm on the other girl's forearm comfortingly. She didn't know whether or not her friend wanted to stay or leave.

"Can we just go? I have to fly out first thing," Allison begged and Ashley nodded. Swiftly, the two turned away and walked out, Ashley putting her arm out in front of the cameras so the photographers wouldn't get Allison in this vulnerable moment.

The next morning, Ashley was helping her friend pack for the trip, while Allison sat on her bed.

"Okay. what shoes?" Ashley asked, holding up two different pairs for the other woman to pick out. Allison had been sitting on the bed the entire time and Ashley had been packing for her. Allison just pointed to the pair on the left, not looking up.

"Hey, can you come with me? Moral support and such," Allison asked, to which Ashley nodded reassuringly. She tried to hide her excitement. She'd been wanting to get out of LA for a while, plus her dad lives in the area that the umbrella academy had been set in.

"Yeah of course, ill buy a ticket right now."

Ashley walked towards the gates that she'd only seen in comics as a child. Holding two coffees, she attempted to open the gates but only struggled. In the midst of her struggle, a figure basically ran out of the doors and up to her. She quickly noticed that he wasn't happy to see her, as he held a knife in her face.
