Gumball: *yawns and opens his eyes looking up at the ceiling* Mmmmnnhhh... *pulls himself up and looks around* Wow... Everyone's already out and doing their stuff... *sees a note beside him* Huh...? *grabs the note and reads it*

Hey there, Gumball! I think you must have overslept, so I'll explain what's going on today. Adrianna is working with the soldiers to keep watch of the camp, Isabelle is doing the gardening, and Laura is having classes with some other young kids to keep her company.
Me and Chloe didn't get any message from Pepper on what you're gonna do, so you can just go and ask her what assignment you have. I wish you luck on what you have!

Gumball: Hmmnh... An assignment... I guess I'd better get going... *stands up but notices his phone beside him* Wait... *grabs the phone and sees that there's one missed call from Penny* Aww, darnit... She must have been worried... *sits up and dials Penny's phone number*

I didn't know Penny found some access last night... But I should have a chat with her before I get going... She probably misses me since I'm out there all alone with the others...

Penny: Hello?
Gumball: Heeyy, Penny! I noticed you called me early in the morning, hehe!
Penny: Ohh! Hey, Gumball! I was getting pretty worried since you didn't respond for a while!
Gumball: I'm okay! I'm at a secret camp with the other girls now! And so far, it's relaxing!
Penny: I see! How are the other girls?
Gumball: They're okay! Right now they're doing assignments around the camp and I have one to get done too, soo...
Penny: I'm glad everything is going well! For me, it's the normal typical day... Surviving in the mall with the others and seeing if there's anything new... But anyways, do you plan on visiting soon?
Gumball: Maybe in a few days! I'll be able to come when I can!
Penny: Alright then! Well, I'll let you go for the day! I don't want you getting distracted from work!
Gumball: Okay then! *smiles in relief* You can call me back later in the evening!
Penny: Okay! Bye, Gumball! I love you!
Gumball: Bye, Penny! I love you too! *ends the call and stands up from his sleeping bag*

Well, today's a day to work! It's kind of like school, but it's to save more kids and keep them safe! At least it'll keep me distracted from what is going on in this world... And the fact my Dad's dead...

Gumball: *enters the headquarters tent and walks upstairs* I wonder if she's up working or something... *approaches the door and knocks it*
Pepper: Haitte kudasai! (Please come in!)
Gumball: *slowly opens the door and walks inside while closing the door* Heey, Pepper... Uhh, Peter didn't know which assignment I had today and he told me to see you, so...
Pepper: *stands up from her seat and approaches him* Your assignment is with me, Gumball.
Gumball: Wait... With you?
Pepper: Yes! You will be working with me!
Gumball: Um- I- But I-
Pepper: It won't be bad! We are both going to work well together as the dangerous ones! *smiles at him*
Gumball: Uh... A-Alright! Heh! *smiles a bit*

So I'll be working with Pepper... The Snake Tuxedo... This is kind of surprising! Let's just hope my mind doesn't get controlled or anything... That's what I'm kind of worried about.

Pepper: Here. *sits down on a mat near the window* Sit down with me. I want to show you something.
Gumball: Okay... *sits down in front of her on the mat and looks at her*
Pepper: Look at me closely.
Gumball: *nods and looks at her eyes*
Pepper: *eyes glow orange and flashes memories into his mind*
