Later at night as Alexis is sleeping she soon gets woke up by Ezylryb.
"Well nice to see you finally awake." Ezylryb says as Alexis looks at him annoyed.
"Not nice for me. My old teacher or not that is never pleasant." Alexis says annoyedly.
"Oh quit your complaining. Go fetch the young owls." Ezylryb says.
"Taking them out like you did me?" Alexis asks curiously.
"Yes. It's time they learned some real flying." Ezylryb says as he flies off before Alexis gets up.
*Timeskip*
"Doing some late night reading are you?" Alexis asks as she finds Soren reading a book.
"Yeah. It's the Battle of the Ice claws. You know this is my da's favorite story. He used to tell it to us all the time." Soren says as he looks at Alexis.
"Well your da had good taste in authors. You enjoying it?" Alexis asks as she looks at the book.
"Honestly is not at all like my da told it." Soren says as Alexis looks at him curiously.
"No? How did he tell it?" Alexis asks curiously.
"Well Da always made it seem so heroic. You know? Like a great victory. Well in these chronicles I mean the battle just sounds like..." Soren says.
"Like a nightmare come to live? Yes. Battles are never good. They're horrible and always seem like you're living in a nightmare." Alexis says as Soren looks at her curiously.
"Have you-" Soren then gets cut off by Alexis.
"No. No I've never been in battle. Rescues and such yes. But never battles. Besides my parents would never allow me to battle anyhow. Too protective." Alexis says as she sighs.
"You sound as if you want to go to battle." Soren says in surprise.
"I just wanna protect my home Soren. I would never start a battle. But I would join in one in an instant to protect my home and those I love. I have to protect them. Anyway enough about me. Come on." Alexis says as she begins to leave.
"Where to?" Soren asks as Alexis looks at him.
"Flying lesson." Alexis says bluntly.
"Flying lesson?" Soren asks.
"Just come on. Otulissa, Ezylryb, and your friends are already waiting. Best not to keep them waiting shall we?" Alexis asks as she takes off flying with Soren behind her.
*Timeskip*
"Feel the gutters! The currents in the rain. A scupper! A swillage! Baggywrinkles!" Ezylryb shouts as the group is flying with him and Alexis in a storm.
"Baggywrinkles? He could have at least given us a vocabulary list." Otulissa says.
"Now this this is the way to learn!" Ezylryb shouts excitedly.
"Oh yes! This is exactly how I want to learn. In a monsoon!" Digger says sarcastically before Alexis flies to him.
"Well sometimes the best way to master something is to just dive straight in. Once you get the hang of it you will be fine." Alexis says.
"The air currents warm in different ways you see... from the sky to the ocean. You can't fight them. You have to feel them with your gizzards. Aha! You see that one? Soren see it! Is there. Go for it. That's it! Use your gizzard boy. Trust it! Fly inside. He sees it. He sees it. Hold it. Hold it. Soren. Hey, hey, hey! Hey careful! Look out! Soren!" Ezylryb shouts as Soren begins to master the flying before losing control and begins to fall.
"Soren!" Alexis shouts as she quickly flies down and grabs Soren.
"You saved me again." Soren says as Alexis looks down at him and smiles.
"Yeah. You okay?" Alexis asks worriedly.
"Yes I believe so." Soren says as Ezylryb flies over.
"Owl come to my hollow." Ezylryb says as he looks at Soren.
