Chapter 5-6

Chapter 5 : Contract

Aria's POV

After a hour of scolding mother finally calmed down. I felt so guilty I could feel my eyes water . Once she saw I was on the break of tears she stopped scolding me and started coaxing me .

" I'm sorry mother I won't do it again " I say rubbing the tears from my eyes.

" It's alright dear I was just so worried , you could have gotten hurt " she says pulling me into her embrace.

" I know " I say in a low voice .

" Alright let's have dinner , I used some of the herbs you brought back " Mother says showing me the grilled fish with rice on the side .

" Mother when did we get rice ? " Ava questioned .

" I borrow some from a old friend in the village a week ago . Now that we have money I will pay her back " Mother say making her plate .

We both just nod and ate the flavorful fish .

" Master " I hear a voice say .

" Someone wants to meet you tonight " He continues.

" Who " .

" The king ".

" Oh " .

"Are you willing ?" He asks .

All I could think about is my scolding from earlier . Mother is very scary when she is angry . I shivered at the thought .

" Master ?'' .

" I-Uhh yes sure I'll meet him " I say unsure.

" Alright " .

After finishing the favorful fish I told my mother I'm going to use the bathroom . She gave me a long stare that could scare a grown man . After much thought she let me go and handed me the dagger and told me to be safe .

Once I was out the hutt I started into the forest and stopped when I felt his presence .

Slowly walking out the bushes the king reappeared .

" Greetings your majesty " I say with a small bow.

All he did was nodded .

Does he ever use his words ?

" How is your son ?" I asked trying make it less awkward.

" Son come " He roared .

The bush behind him shooked a little before it revealed a small white cub .

" Yes papa " He says looking up at his father.

" Let her look at you " The king says shifting his attention Aria .

When the cub noticed her his eyes lit up .

" Human it's you " He says running up to her .

" Thank you for saving me and thank you for the food " He says rubbing his head on my leg.

Bending my knees I rub his fur gently .

" Your welcome " I say with a bright smile .

I quickly look at his leg and stomach and to my suprise it was fully healed but only left a small scar on his thigh .

" I can see if I can remove the scar" .

" No I like it , it's kind of like a battle scar " He says with pride.
