Aria POV
Chapter 15: encounter
We have been riding for the last four hours . I was getting tired but my excitement kept me going . The forest was so peaceful and beautiful . We didn't see many creatures but we did come across animals being animals.
" My queen , would you like to rest ? There is a lake not far from here " said Roman .
I was quite tired ,and I could stretch my legs .
" Yes , that will be fine " I reply making him change directions .
Once we got to the Lake I slowly climbed down from Roman's back .
Man my legs were so stiff and I felt myself wobble slightly .
Thankfully , Roman quickly caught me before I fell.
I giggled before thanking him .
I push myself off of him walking towards the lake .
It was so pretty and clear. You could see the fishes from where I was standing .
I slid off my boots before taking a seat by the water .
Now this is relaxing .
I suddenly felt fur brush up against my face before he placed his head in my lap .
" What a softie you are " I teased rubbing his head .
He let out a huff before closing his eyes . We all just sat in silence enjoying the view.
" We've came a long way in a matter of weeks . It makes me feel like I don't really rest at all . I'm always helping someone or doing something . Even when I get overwhelmed you guys are here for me so thank you " I say feeling grateful .
" I am truly grateful for you my queen . You've saved me and my clan . You gave us a home ,food and shelter. I owe you my life . I will be here to aide you until my very last breath " he says making me stunned stupid.
When did he get so sweet ? I smiled at the thought before rubbing his head .
" My queen , would you like to rest in the realm tonight ? It would be more safer for you " asks Leo.
" Yes , that will be fine . However I think we should get a move on so we can get closer to the forest " I say looking down at Roman .
" Yes of course " he replies before standing up .
He reached his hand out to me and I gladly took it .
Roman stretched out his body before bending down for me . He is always so noble.
I slid on my boots and climbed onto his back .
When I was secure he started to walk .
Who would have thought a giant wolf would be this comfortable . I held onto his fur before nodding at Leo .
With my nod they both started to move .
