chapter 1

"targets spotted. they were seen running into a bank."

"are they armed?"

"affirmative."

"proceed with caution."

san, wooyoung, yeosang, jongho, and yunho were all at the top of a building that was directly across from the bank. they all swiftly climbed down within just seconds, except for yunho, who simply levitated down onto the ground using his powers.

"you guys ready?" he asked the others.
"ready when you are!" the youngest responded, a confident sparkle in his eyes.

"we go now!" yunho said not even a second later, causing the other four males to run straight into the building. he followed closely behind them. "yeosang, wooyoung, you go deal with the criminals. we're going to get everyone else out of here." he said to them.

yeosang and wooyoung split up from the rest of the group, but they both voiced their complaints while doing so.

"why do we always have the difficult jobs?" wooyoung protested.

"and why am i always stuck with you?" yeosang said jokingly, pretending to be disgusted. in return, he earned a loud laugh from wooyoung.

the people being held hostage looked a bit scared. some seemed worried, and some even appeared to be intimidated by their presence.
"don't panic, we're here to save you all!" jongho announced.

the criminals rushed for the exit when they saw yeosang and wooyoung running towards them.
"go block the exit so they don't get away!" wooyoung said to yeosang.

yeosang sprinted faster, speeding right past the two criminals. he reached the exit before they did, and blocked them from escaping. wooyoung saw this as his sign to electrocute them, so he did.

meanwhile, yunho, san, and jongho were doing their part well so far, until san's powers started to act up.

"guys?"

jongho and yunho both looked at san.

"yes, san?" jongho responded.

"he is coming back."

jongho started to panic a little, but yunho remained calm. "jongho, go get the rest of the people out of here. i'll deal with san."

jongho followed orders right away, splitting up from the other two.

"san? how are you feeling?"

"i feel.."

san didn't have time to finish his sentence, because he had taken over.

"hello again. missed me, sunshine?" he said, a devilish smirk on his face.

"no, not at all." yunho responded, his eyes narrowing.

"hm, that's too bad.. maybe i should start controlling your friend more often so you can get used to me." he spoke, stepping closer while talking.

"there's no need for any of that, forest." the taller male's hands turned into fists without him realizing, his fingernails digging into his palms. he wanted to fight him, but he knew he'd be hurting san if he did it.

"don't you get it, darling? you see, you don't get to decide when i take control. that's my decision, because i'm stronger than he is." he continued.

"oh, i'm stronger than you too, of course." he added before giggling, only saying it just to make him more upset.

"and guess what?"

forest leaned in closer. "i'm only going to get stronger." he spoke, with a deranged look in his eyes and a hauntingly wide smile.
