later on that same day, they were all at home, sitting in the living room and watching a movie. they had a big bowl of popcorn, each of them taking handfuls while passing it around the room.

mingi yawned obnoxiously loud before saying, "this is boring. let's watch something else." he picked up the tv remote and changed the channel.

the news was on, and they were talking about the incident that took place at the bank today, but mingi changed the channel again. hongjoong snatched the remote from mingi and changed it back to the news channel.

"good afternoon, y'all! it's your girl lisa on the scene at the local bank here in seoul!"

in the background, there were about a dozen police cars, yellow caution tape everywhere, and about a hundred people and police officers.

"a robbery took place here a few hours ago, and it turns out the criminals were actually successful.. they got away with an estimated amount of over 1 million dollars worth of money." san was sitting down right in front of yeosang. he could feel his eyes staring him down as soon as the amount of money stolen was announced. san didn't dare turn around out of fear that yeosang would have more mean things to say to him.

san was snapped out of his thoughts when yunho passed the bowl of popcorn to him. he wasn't in the mood to eat anything, so he passed it to jongho.

"their identities are still unknown, so if you have any information about who may have been behind the crime, please call 911 and let the police know asap!"

there was a brief pause before lisa continued speaking.

"on a more serious note, however, our heroes have gone to many great lengths in order to keep our city safe, but they still lacked in a few areas." she stated.

"as mentioned earlier, these criminals were successful, and they got away with their crime. surely, our heroes didn't do this on purpose, did they?" lisa noted, slightly raising an eyebrow while asking her rhetorical question.

a witness who was at the bank appeared on the screen. he was an old man who appeared to be a war veteran.

"how do you feel about the fact that our heroes let these criminals escape?"

"i'm disappointed, honestly.."

as the man on the screen continued to speak, yunho remembered how forest said those same three exact words to him earlier that day. he felt a stabbing pain in his heart.

san looked at yunho. "you okay?"

"yes.. i'm fine." he lied.

he felt bad for lying to san, but he didn't want san to be upset. san already had enough weight to carry on his shoulders, and he didn't need more of it.

after the man on the screen had finished speaking, lisa was back on the screen again.

"this concludes my report. i will now be passing the mic back over to jake."

jake appeared on the screen. he was sitting in the news broadcasting room, dressed formally. he began speaking. "thank you for your informative report on the situation, lisa! up next, we will be discussing the story of a boy who just recently graduated from college at only 8 years old!"

after the news switched to the commercials, hongjoong picked up the remote and turned the tv off. wooyoung was right next to the light switch, so he turned on the lights.

hongjoong was now standing in front of everyone else. half of the other members sighed, because they knew what was going to happen next.
"listen, everyone. we all make a great team.. but we need to do better, okay?"

the room was dead silent.

"we need to take our jobs seriously." he added.

"but we are taking it seriously." mingi said.

"did i say you could speak? no? then be quiet!"

hongjoong continued speaking. "now, anyway, as i was saying, i have a few brutally honest recommendations for you all in order for us to be better."

hongjoong looked at wooyoung. "first of all.. wooyoung, don't electrocute people with your powers.. it's extremely inhumane and it makes people think we're the villains instead of the heroes."

wooyoung sighed loudly, rolling his eyes at him.

hongjoong ignored him, and he moved on. "next, i must address the problem with san. it has been a problem ever since the day this team was created."

san didn't react at all to the mention of his name. he was used to hongjoong calling him out like this.

"san, please learn how to control your other half."

san would've defended himself, but he was tired of going back and forth with him constantly at least 8 times per week because he knew he'd never win anyway.

"forest is stronger than he is. it's uncontrollable and it can happen at any time." seonghwa said, standing up for san.

"..okay. then work on it. learn how to control it. there's always room for improvement."

hongjoong proceeded to keep speaking for the next hour or so, then he dismissed everyone.

i'm sorry for making this chapter so short... i honestly didn't know what to do </3
there will be longer chapters in the future though! (hopefully)
