When she woke up in the next morning, Sirin wasn't alone.

She was honestly a bit embarrassed after the human went to her room and folded the sheets neatly in a corner, she snarled at him and told him that she wasn't a child and that she could do it herself instead of having a mere human do it for her.

The human nodded and obliged to her request. Sirin found herself failing to do so, much to her embarrassment. Her cheeks were tinged with red as the human sighed and did the work for her again.

She wasn't used to this. Small kindnesses such as these were only present when her mother was alive. But to have someone like him who was supposed to be her enemy do this for her...

She had no words to describe the weird mix of emotions she was feeling right now.

When the human finally finished and placed the bed sheet in a basket in the corner of the room, the embarrassment became too much for Sirin as she pushed the human out of her room and slammed the door behind him.

Sirin felt scared. She wasn't used to this; she was used to all of humanity's hatred channeled towards her. He was supposed to hate her! To be scared of her!

Why?

Why was he helping her?

Her mind flashed back to yesterday.

She remembered what happened, and she treasured it, for it had been the nicest thing she received in all of her existence that didn't come from her own mother.

She remembered the illusion she placed to herself accidentally whilst trying to subdue Cecilia and that man with the 8th divine key, but even then, those illusions were nothing compared to this.

Those were fake after all, just a lie that was conceived to trick her.

Oh, how she was proven wrong when Cecilia embraced her in her final moments, giving her warmth that only her mother could ever share to her...

She didn't understand why.

She can't understand why.

She looked down at her trembling hands.

'This isn't a dream...'

She wasn't under an illusion anymore. No more false experiences. No more dreams of falsehoods, fantasies and lies.

This is real.

-----

"Oi!" The human called out to her from the other side of the door, she scowled. "Breakfast will be ready in an hour!"

Sirin didn't reply but Minato didn't mind. Sirin made it clear earlier that she didn't want to be approached, so he let it go. It seems like he will just have to send her breakfast to her room.

"This early in the morning and she's already making me feel stressed." Minato chuckled dryly, "At this rate, I'm going to get white hair before I reach 50."

The cold air emanating from the AC of Sirin's room brushed across his back, he wondered how much he has to pay for the electricity bill for this month now that Sirin is living with him.

"Troublesome." He muttered before he attended to his morning rituals.

-----

Minato finds himself in his kitchen once again. This time someone decided to call him while he was still preparing breakfast. Minato audibly sighed when he checked the caller's name.

'Really? He decides to call me now out of all times?'

"Yo." A voice calls once Minato's face was visible in the video call.
