Chapter 26

Spencer finally came back to the BAU after having almost three weeks off. "Reid." Aaron called. Spencer met Aaron in his office and sat down. "Are you sure you're ready? Things like this take time." Said Aaron. Spencer nodded. "Alright." Aaron said then motioned Spencer to leave.

Spencer went back to his desk and started looking over case files. "How are you doing kid?" Derek asked. Spencer didn't answer. "Kid?" Spencer snapped out of his trance. "Sorry, what?" "I just wanted to know how you're doing." Suddenly Penelope motioned everyone to come into the round table room. "I'm fine." Spencer said and quickly got up and walked to the round table room.

"Okay, so there were two murders last night in Stanwood, Michigan at the River Ridge campground. Both women murdered were blonde and in their late 20s." Penelope explained as the pictures of the women popped up on the screen. "The first victim was Melissa Etheridge and the second victim was Alexandra Mitchell." "Is that a bathroom behind them?" Emily asked. "Yes, both victims were found next to the community restrooms with one gunshot wound to the head each." "Was there any sexual abuse?" Aaron asked. "I don't know, the lab results haven't come back yet." "Alright we'll discuss this further when we get to Detroit. Wheels up in 20." Everyone nodded and left.

"Where's Reid?" Emily asked. Everyone looked around the Bullpen and Spencer was no where to be found. "I'll be right back." Derek said and headed toward the bathroom. When he opened the door he saw Spencer splashing his face with water. "You okay kid?" Derek asked. "Yeah, I'm fine." Spencer said and rubbed his eyes. "It's okay not be okay." "I said I'm fine." Spencer said in a stern voice. Derek began to back up. Spencer took a deep breath. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean." "You're fine." Derek said Spencer nodded.
