If you think about it, your alarm in the morning is like a theme song to the shitty TV show your life is. Each day is a new episode, each year is a new season. It goes on forever and ever, when's the fucking finale? Some of these 'episodes' keep getting dragged on by other assholes talking and talking to you over and over again, do they ever just fucking shut up? In a way the theme song sort of sets the day for you, if your theme song is sad, your day bouta be hella depressing. if its happy, well your day will be less depressing. get the point? Okay good, now we can actually get to the story I just know you've been dying to read for the past 30 seconds as I ramble on about alarm sounds. Brace yourselves.
{Hyunjin pov}
My alarm bounced off my walls and around my room as I tossed and turned trying to block the ear piercing sound from my head. why must it be so loud? I swear, my phone is trying to give me hearing loss. The lights flicker on in the hallway, obviously that screeching noise had woken up someone else other than me, not surprised honestly. The handle to my door turned slowly, I rolled round to face the wall, my alarm still blasting behind me.
"dude why is your alarm so loud, I swear it's gonna wake up the entire neighbourhood one of these days" someone said, in a raspy voice. I still had my face turned to the wall and my eyes closed with my pillow covering my ear, was it Jisung? I couldn't tell. Footsteps grew closer, then my alarm just stopped out of no where. He had turned it off. I let out a sigh of relief and flipped myself round to face this mysterious person. It was infact, Jisung.
"How dare you come in my room without knocking first" I said, sarcastically of course. I didn't mind him turning my alarm off for me, but I just wanted to sleep again, so I kicked his leg and pointed to the door signalling him to leave. As I did so I heard a door further down the corridor slide open, followed by footsteps shuffling down the hallway.
"Oh I'm sorry your majesty, I should've knocked before turning off your ear piercing alarm for you. emphasis on the for you." he began to walk out of the room after returning a punch to my arm, stopping at the doorway to look left and right as if he where about to cross a street. In all fairness it was a dangerous game walking through a hallway that could have one of the 8 sleep-deprived-hard-working-night-owl members scurrying down the corridor to the kitchen to try beat everyone else to the food. They could knock someone down at the speed they fled at. Jisung leapt out the room and latched himself onto the wall mission-impossible style narrowly avoiding the excited yet tired seungmin almost flying down to the kitchen. And off he went, probably back to his room, maybe to the kitchen. who knows.
I flipped over again, this time buried underneath my pillow and duvet, and tried to sleep again. Unfortunately, this was around the time everyone else woke up, and when they wake up, as previously stated they all rush to the kitchen. And its loud, like really loud. You can hear all the doors opening and slamming shut. Despite the hurry no one forgets to close the door to their room, that's like a rule Chan had set. you weren't allowed to keep your doors open unless you where still in your room, it helps with air circulation or something, I dont know. My door to my room was still open, and from the corridor you can see when doors are open and closed, its weird but its something to do with the architecture of the building. All I could hear is people sliding all over the hardwood floors, and occasionally some loud thuds as people fall over. Usually I'm one of the first ones to the kitchen, so I rarely have to pay attention to the sounds as I can just carry on my day as it doesn't affect me. But when you're actually trying to sleep, each sound sounds like 10x louder and it is so fucking annoying. once I heard the final 7th person reach the kitchen I quite literally, cheered, covered my face with my pillow, and finally after a long wait and a terrible state of noises, I fell back asleep. Everyone be happy for me. Thank you.
It took a mere 5 minutes of them eating breakfast before someone points out I wasn't there. No idea who it was, but within a minimum of 5 seconds there was a stampede running up the stairs and heading directly towards my room. Chan ran into my room and the others waited at my door, very impatiently might I add. Chan shook my arm trying to wake me up. It was sore as hell, but it worked
"what is it" I said, as bluntly as possible, which was followed by a punch on the arm for being 'rude'.
"Get up breakfast is ready" He said, complaining.
"just give me a minute" Ah, the classic response to 'get up', it certainly wasn't going to be a minute. more like, an hour at least. sleep deprived problems.
"How are you still tired bro, your alarm sounds like a siren" That snarky comment came from the doorway, I could definitely tell that came from seungmin, I mean either him or Minho. But Minho would add some extra rudeness into the sentence just for the fun of it. that's him I guess.
"Guys stop pestering him, just let him sleep, he's clearly tired. It's not like we're going anywhere today anyway." Finally someone stands up for me, woo hoo, great. You decide who it was that said that, it was either jeongin, changbin or Minho. Goodluck.
"True" A muffled voice in the back said, Jisung? yeah, probably.
Chan sighed, taking care of 7 kids was difficult. "Get up pleeaassee" he said, with a big smile across his face as he shook my arm once more for good measure, then left, pushing past the 6 that were standing at the door in anticipation.
someone else came into my room, everyone else left, how rude. I covered my face with my pillow again, unable to see who this person was. And to be honest I couldn't be bothered to look. I dramatically sighed, and very dramatically said, "why does he have to come in to wake me up every morning? does he not know I'm so very important and I need my beauty sleep?" Whoever it was giggled. Yep, that's Felix.
"He just misses you and wants you to eat breakfast, that's all" He picked the pillow I had covering my face up and literally sprinted out my room.
"bye then?" I muttered under my breath. this was the first time Felix had literally stepped foot inside my room, why today? I don't know but I genuinely couldn't care any less. I laid there for a bit gathering the spirit to get out of bed, and eventually stood up. my head spiralled out of control morphing everything around me into a spinning mess. I couldn't see straight and my vision was completely out of the sorts. I always got extremely dizzy in the morning, especially if I had worked hard the night before. Typical work day I guess. I mustered up the strength to walk and grabbed my phone as I closed my door behind me, heading downstairs.
