a/n: sorry for the late update! school is brutally killing me :(
To say those photos were thrilling was an understatement. First, it was his face, and though he isn't Marcus-level, the man is gorgeous. He has deep brown, hooded eyes with thick brows. His hair is dark brown, fluffy, and slightly curled. That jawline, oh my God. It could kill me.
The ID isn't as exciting, but I'm glad to see the faces match and he isn't playing me. In each of the photos, including his ID, he's wearing a smirk that screams biker. Street racer. Viper. It suits him, the name. I'm glad I chose that one.
As I'm scrolling through the about ten photos he sent me, a new one comes in. Holy fuck, I— I have no words. Defined abdominals, six of them, right before my eyes. Lovely. Beautiful. I love to see it. I send him a photo of myself back and lean against the library counter, turning to check the time. Viper should be here in fifteen minutes.
"Dani, hey!" I look back over to the front counter to see Gabriella. I smile and wave at her. "You didn't text last night. I know you're busy for unnamed reasons on Saturday nights, but you still usually text." I tense.
I had completely forgotten to text her.
"Sorry about that." I awkwardly laugh. "Had a date and some very intimate sex, which makes me doubt what we are, but I'm covering it up with another date in ten minutes." Gabriella laughs.
"Oooh, girl, you player!" She chuckles. "Love it, though. You got the looks and the confidence to pull as many people as you'd like." We laugh over that, and she starts telling me about her girlfriend's new job, to which I'm listening, but then a helmeted person comes in.
My heart jumps, thinking it's Marcus, but I quickly correct myself and remember my 'date' with Viper. I pivot back to Gabriella, who has now noticed my lack of attention. She gives me a large, full-lipped smile.
"Go get 'em, tiger." She pats my arm and sashays away, per usual. I clock out quickly and grab my helmet, rushing to Viper and wrapping him in a hug.
"Good day, madam." He hugs me back, resting his helmet on the top of my head.
"Good day, sir." I giggle, pulling back from the hug and slipping my helmet on. "Ready to go wherever we are going?" He takes my hand in his, the leather of his gloves chafing my soft skin.
"Very ready." He says. I push back and pull on my helmet, giving him a little pose. He chuckles, tugging on my hand as he walks toward the exit.
We walk into the parking lot and get on his bike- which I adore. She's such a pretty color. I wrap my hands around his chest, and he starts driving. I have no clue where we are going, and for some reason, I am perfectly content with this. I like surprises. Surprises are okay.
When he pulls into a random parking lot surrounded by large concrete facilities and steps off the bike, I'm getting a little nervous. Maybe surprises aren't okay.
"Hey, hey." My eyes flick to Viper, who's now grabbing my hands and caressing them. "You're shaking. You okay?" I look down at my hands, which are, in fact, softly trembling. I squeeze my eyes shut, and when I open them again, I'm at peace.
"Yeah. I'm fine." I pull away and take off my helmet, flashing a small grin. Viper drops his hands to his side, then continues to tug off his helmet and shake his hair out.
I'm in shock for a second, because I maybe didn't think he was real from the photos. But there he is, all beautiful— and confident in it. When he smiles, I can see that he has dimples I hadn't noticed before. Softly there, but evident.
"So, I will be taking you out for food, but I wanted to have some fun first." I raise my eyebrows, grinning. "Since you are little Miss Street Racer, I have decided I want to race you in go-karts. Maybe you're not as good in that area." I barely suffice in shielding my laugh. "Maybe that will help your need for speed, too." I shake my head, smiling, and get off Viper's bike.
"You are so on."
