Clara's POV:

Annie was just sitting on the floor, Mike was complaining about how unsanitary the ballroom was. Wasn't anyone interested in the fact that again somebody had probably gotten a bullet for Patricia and that she was still running around in this building and trying to kill us? What the heck was going on?

The few rais of light that were shining through the cracks of the boarded up windows were beginning to fade and the room was beginning to get darker with each passing moment. The sun was setting meaning that soon the entire buildin would be engulfed in darkness. Where would we go or hide if we wouldn't be able to even see anything?

"Mike, would you please stop whining about the dust and just pay attention." I said with as much sweetnes and calm that I could muster.

He looked me like I had two haid instead of one and continued whining "What are you talking about? You're the one whinig about me."

I wanted to slap him, I really did, but before I could do anything Annie came and stood right between us and looked at us both one at a time with a look of digust and disappointment on her face.

"What you looking at?" Mike couldn't help but snap.

"You don't seem to realise that there's still a maniac hunting us down and that soon we will be engulfed in complete darkness due to the sun already setting. Instead you constantly bicker and whine about the amount on dirt and dust in this room." Annie said with an unchanged expression and quiet jet warning voice.

Finally, somebody in this room had come to their senses and realised what was really going on. Of course I wasn't surprised by the fact that it hadn't been Mike. He had changed a lot recently and not for the better. Nowadays he was often loosing his temper for no good reason, he was more interested in popularity than in his real friends and he didn't even care about the people around him anymore. All his good sides that I loved about him had almost completely vanished. And I was the only one who cared. And I cared to much.

Mike was about to say something but instead closed his mouth and turned away, which was a huge relief since arguing and fighting would only waste time and we didn't have that.

Annie looked at me with a softer and gentler expression, tetermination and will reflecting in her eyes "We should find a small and secure room where we can blockade the door and try to survive the night." Her eyes flickered toward Mike and then back to me with questioning eyes.

I noded agreeing with her plan and turned towards Mike "What do you think?"

"Yeah, whatever. Let's just go." He said not looking at us and speedwalking towars the big doubledoors.

I exchanged brief glances with Annie and soon we where running after him. Annie was a little behind probably due to the large wound that was still open and untreated. I shouted for Mike to slow down but he didn't listen and carried on as if he heard nothing. I looked back at Annie.

"Keep going! I'm right behind you, just keep going!" She shouted

wincing and slowing down due to the pain in her shoulder.

In that moment I had to make a decision whether to go and help Annie or follow Mike as Annie said. I saw the light already fading away and slowly letting darkness take over. In that splitsecond decision I ran up the stairs to follow Mike, leaving Annie as she was and trying to shake away the bad feeling I had in my gutt.

Already gone up multiple floors without looking back I shouted to Mike, who was already slowing down.

"What the hell? Didn't you hear me shout before?" I spoke breathlessly.

Mike looked at me seemingly angry at something "I heard."

"And?"

"That's why I kept running." He added like it was a simple fact of life.

I was confused above reasons "What?!"

He looked away clenching his jaw "I don't like her."

I looked at him blanckly. I had no words to describe the feelings and emotions that were swirling around in my head and stomach. I felt frustrated but most of all angry and I was threatening to explode.

"Are you freaking serious?! You made me leave my best friend and only person in the world, who's probably bleeding to death, alone in an abandoned old hotel with a maniac on the lose, just be cause you think you don't like her?!" I barked at him, hoping to get something trough to him and make him understand.

His expression softened and I could see for a splitsecond regret in his eyes, but as soon as it had came it was replaced by a cold hard glare. "But how much do you know about her really?"

I was about to slap him hard in the face, before I could do it though a series of gunshots were heard from a few floors down and right after an ear splitting and painful scream.

Hello people! it has been a bit over half a year since our last update but i have a good explanation for all of it. SCHOOL. yeah. Well anyway, we're back and I have lot of thoughts about how to carry on with the story, that is of course you're still interested in reading. I realise that with this huge break that we've had lots of people have probably lost interest in this, but for those who haven't I've got a surprise and much more suspence in the upcoming chapters, so stay with us for a bit more.
