Clara's POV:
Grayish Green. The familiar colour hypnotised me. Every moment we spent together came flashing before my eyes making me freeze and only concentrate on the colour. A small memory passed my mind and the happiness it radiated lifted my mood making me smile and cry once more.
A small brown headed girl was sitting on the soft green kindergarten couch. The entrance door made a small banging noise informing that someone had entered. This was strange cause it was in the middle of the day and all the children were already present. Soon enough the teacher went running towards the door to see what was going on. Soft and quiet talking came from entrance.
The little brown headed girl stood up from the couch, her curiosity getting the best of her and sneaked towards the hushed voices. She slowly peaked over to see the teacher talking to another woman that she had never seen before. She was very tall and had wavy chocolate brown hair. But that wasn't what caught her eye. What had her curiosity on overload was the little girl behind her. She was clinging to the woman's leg, probably shy and scared of the unknown people and never before seen place. Her short blonde hair was hanging as a small braid on her back. She seemed younger that the others.
The small girl looked around the room looking for something familiar that she could recognise. Her eyes trailed every corner and shadow and then finally landed on the little brown headed girl peaking around the corner and looking at her.
Their eyes connected for a moment. The brown headed little girl looked at her then blue eyes. For a moment there was only them two and the small blonde headed girl seemed to relax slightly, getting used to the place and happy to see another child like her in this strange unfamiliar place.
The brown headed girl finally realised that she had been discovered, she pulled her head quickly away and sneaked back to the couch to act like nothing had happened.
Grayish Green. As the memory ended in my mind I was enveloped in her eyes again. Her eyes had changed colour already so many times that I had already lost count. The same with her hair.
That memory was lost and forgotten for all these years, but now I realised that the moment we met changed my life. I had one more friend and that friend became one of the most important people in my life.
I looked at the person in front of me and tears of sadness came this time as all the good old memories flashed before my eyes. I pulled her in for a hug, relieved that she was still with me.
"You're back" I said with my voice hoarse from so much crying and not talking for the last hour.
"I thought that she had already killed you. You scared the living sh*t out of me." She said whispering, her voice obviously failing too. Her now light brown potato hair slipping through my fingers and her grayish eyes looking at my throat which was still wrapped in cloth because of the wound. My eyes landed on her throat. I gasped as I saw the even bigger and deeper wound on her neck. It was still bleeding and one of her hands automatically wrapped around her neck.
I saw the corner of her white shirt peeking from under her hoodie. I took hold of her shirt, ripped a big peace of it and tied it around her neck. It would hold for now, but soon would have to definitely be changed and we were running out of clothes to rip up and tie up the wounds.
"How the hell are you still alive?" Mike finally opened his mouth, but instead of lifting the mood he made it drop down to nothing.
I gave him a deadly look and then looked back at Annie. She was grinning at him smugly.
"Your girlfriend might have kidnapped us all and almost killed us, but she sure as hell can't use a gun, not to mention aim properly." Annie said smugly not taking her eyes of Mike.
Mike's whole face went red within a matter of seconds. If it was of anger or embarrassment, I didn't know. But that didn't matter anymore. What mattered was that we were all together and alive.
"She did get my shoulder though. Hurts like hell. Made me blackout and let her tie me up. Not to mention she hit me in the head! Twice!" Annie complained while rubbing her shoulder gently.
"She got you in the shoulder?!" I grabbed her hoodie and looked under it. Her white T-shirt's shoulder was soaking in blood. The blood made me cringe and I felt a panic attack coming. I calmed down when I saw that it was nothing serious, the bullet had gone straight through.
I touched it with my finger and heard Annie wince and curse in pain. She looked at the place I was touching and saw all the blood which was covering her entire sleeve. "Ahhh, that bitch has a thing coming! I'm gonna kick her ass all the way to the Moon."
Mike turned his head towards Annie with a daring look. "What?! Have you still not realised what kind of a psycho she is?!" yelled Annie.
Mike looked away and I saw defeat in his eyes. Did he really finally get it? Did he finally understand how messed up this is? Well, it was about time that he fin...
BANG!
My thoughts were interrupted by yet another gunshot. But this time. Who was there left to shoot?
