It was dim out, the sun barely up in the sky, a soft breeze went throughout the entire kingdom.

It had been a good few days after the discovery of Onions secret, Wildberry, though never entirely being close with Crunchy Chip started to grow more distant from him . . . More than before.

Crunchy Chip sat outside, the soft breeze going past Wildberry's home, his tail slowly swaying behind him as he has his eyes closed.

It had seemed that Wildberry started to bring in Onion into his home more often . . . Attempting to keep her away from the church to avoid the worst.

Crunchy Chip started to stay behind, stopping to think to himself . . . Is this really what he wanted . . . ?
Why follow the orders of the very man who locked him away, and tried to kill him many times in the past just for his unstable and chaotic nature.

He didn't know, everything seemed so unclear to him . . . Even though it used to be as clear as a crystal.
What's the point of continuing this stupid little mission that was given to him if it's only to bring down a man such as Wildberry . . ?

Wildberry . . . A Saint . . . A man of purity . . Kindness . . .

The thought of this brought the same tingling feeling Crunchy Chip has had . . .
Why . . . Every time an image of this man is brought to his head . . . Why does it always bring him such warmth . . . Such a weird feeling . . .

Crunchy Chip softly opened his eyes, looking down at the ground below him, his cheeks dusted with a slight rose color.

Despite his short stature, Crunchy Chip always made up for it with his determination . . . Strength . . . And speed . . . Feared by many in the dark depths of cacao . . . Even the king himself.
But up here it was the opposite, Cookies . . . Such inferior beings, put no attention to him.
Even Wildberry saw him as a minor threat if kept in control.

A few hours had past, the sun had fully risen and Crunchy Chip still sat idle outside, staring at the ground below him.

The sound of a door opening and closing came from behind Crunchy Chip, footsteps could be heard coming closer and closer to Crunchy Chip before they stopped and a man sat beside him.
It was Wildberry

And he seemed to be in casual clothing, not his usual uniform.

"What is it that you want" Crunchy Chip would ask, still staring at the ground below him.

"I don't want anything, I just wish to talk with you for a moment . . . That is if you are alright with it"

Crunchy Chip stayed quiet for a moment before turning his head to look over at Wildberry before going ahead and responding.
"Go ahead"

Wildberry closed his eyes and took a deep breath before speaking.
"Thank you . . . "

Crunchy Chip seemed surprised upon hearing this, a thank you? For what-?

"Thank you . . . For telling me about Onion Cookie . . . If anyone else found out . . . God knows what they would've done to her"

Wildberry was looking straight in front of him, not looking at Crunchy Chip, his facial expression calm.

Crunchy Chip continued to look at Wildberry, thinking of what he could say, all that he could get out of his mouth was.
"Uh . . Yeah, you're welcome-"

"  .  .  .  "

Silence, neither of them said another word.

Wildberry would glance over at Crunchy Chip for a moment before wrapping his arm around him and fully turning his head to get a better look at him. Crunchy Chip's tail instantly went up and his face quickly turned red as he looked back at the other.

"I'll give you one more chance . . . But do anything without my consent and I am not going to let you off easy-"

Crunchy Chip looked at him without saying a word.

Wildberry noticed how red his face was and asked "Are you alright-? Your face is quite red-"

Crunchy Chip wouldn't respond for a while until he blurted out "YES-, YES IM FINE-!! UH- . . . IM GOING BACK INSIDE-"
He quickly got up from the ground and quickly left back into the house.

Wildberry didn't know how to react, all he did was let out a small sigh and smile.
