                                                                                            Ethan

It was so quiet in the car ride home, I swear, I could here a mosquito fart. Why was Mama acting like this? This was totally unlike her. Usually she made my birthday an amazing, huge event. She was always so eager to give me my birthday presents. Most of the time, she barely waited until I was out of bed. Now it's almost eleven o'clock, and nothing.

"Mama, is everything ok?" I was legitimately confused and concerned.

"We will talk about it when we get home." Mama tried to muster up a half hearted smile, but it was not working. She looked so damn worried. This was not helping my nerves.

The super blue blood moon was absolutely alluring, I couldn't stop glancing at it. There was something about it, I felt as if the moon was speaking to my soul. I felt some type of spiritual connection, but I didn't understand why. The reddish, orange glow lit the road so brightly, I didn't think we even needed the head lights on the car. There was a sense in the air tonight that things were changing, my life was going to be different but I didn't know how.

I saw a women in a black cloak sitting on our porch swing slowly rocking back and forth. Wow that's weird I thought as the woman pulled my attention from the beautiful moon. I looked around and we were still driving in the car. What the hell was that?

We pulled onto the dirt road that led up to the house. With the bright moon shining though the trees, it looked like a scene from a horror movie. As we were getting closer to the house, I could see the yellow light on the porch. I couldn't believe what I'm seeing. There was someone sitting on the porch swing that looked just like the women in my vision. Was I dreaming? There weren't any cars at our house so I wasn't sure how she got here?

"Mama, is there someone on our porch?" I stared at the porch squinting, trying to see any movement from the women."

"Y-yes, Baby, there is a lady on the porch waiting on us." I could tell be the way Mama's voice was shaking that she was quite nervous about something.

Why had Mama not told me we where going to have a visitor tonight? Who was she? "Mama who is she?"

Mama took a deep breath and sighed. "I will introduce you when we get to the house."

Now I was starting to get frustrated at all the unanswered questions. Reaching out to the door handles, readying myself to jump out of the car to find some semblance of truth, I demanded her to tell me the truth. "Just tell me who she is."

Mama snapped at me. "Ethan! JUST WAIT!" I just felt my ears rattle and my hand pull away from the door in shock.

Mama pulled up to the garage. I got out of the car and slammed the door shut. Frustrated, I stomped up the stairs to the porch, staring at the women sitting on the swing.

"Who the hell are you? Why are you here?" I could tell by the look on her face that my words where not a shock to her. I glanced back to see Mama close behind, clearly worried about something. Unsure what that was, I was prepared to get some answers.

"My name is Alana, I'm your Great Grandmother." She was acting so calm that it irritated me.

I angrily pointed my finger at Alana. " We don't know you. Why the hell are you here? On all nights, my birthday, why now? " I was really starting to get pissed. She is not answering my damn questions quick enough.

Alana waved her hand, palm out, in front of her body, from left  to right. "Be calm, my child."

I looked at Alana confused. "What the hell are you doing?"
