The moon hung high and full in the night sky, casting a silvery veil over the forest. Alana and I navigated the tangled undergrowth, the night air crisp and filled with the sounds of nocturnal creatures. Shadows flitted between the trees, creating an ever-changing landscape of darkness and moonlight.

"Are you sure we're on the right path?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady. My thoughts were preoccupied with the unsettling feeling that my powers might play a crucial role in what was about to come. The whispers of ancient magic in the back of my mind were growing louder, and I couldn't shake the feeling that something significant was about to happen.

"I know where we are going, Ethan, do not worry. " Alana said with out slowing down.

Suddenly Alana stops. "Hold my hand Ethan, Don't be afraid."

In front of us was a lake, behind , was the woods that we just came of. What was she talking about, there is nothing here.

The she steps forward and the view changes.  We approached what seemed to be an ancient stone structure, I'm struck by its sheer scale and the quiet majesty it exudes. It stands in the midst of an open landscape, its weathered stones rising in a commanding array against the horizon. The structure is a monumental assembly of large, roughly hewn blocks, some of which are so massive that they seem to defy the laws of physics.

The stones are a mottled gray, flecked with patches of lichen and moss that have grown in the crevices over countless centuries. The surface of each block is pitted and worn, smoothed by the relentless passage of time and the elements. Some of the stones are intricately carved with faded symbols and motifs that hint at an ancient and forgotten artistry. These carvings are deep and complex, their meanings obscured but their craftsmanship evident.

The structure itself appears to be a combination of towering pillars and massive, horizontal lintels. The pillars, tall and slender, rise to impressive heights, their tops tapering off into rough, unrefined edges. They are arranged in a circular pattern, creating a sense of enclosure or sanctuary. Between these pillars, the lintels are laid with a precision that suggests an advanced understanding of engineering and design, despite their rustic appearance.

As I move closer, I notice that the entire structure is slightly tilted, perhaps due to the settling of the ground or the shifting of tectonic plates over millennia. This tilt adds an element of intrigue, giving the impression that the structure might have once been part of a grander scheme, now partially lost to time.

Surrounding the base of the structure is a ring of smaller stones, partially buried and scattered unevenly. These stones seem to form a deliberate pattern or foundation, hinting at the original intent behind the structure. The ground around it is a mix of gravel and overgrown vegetation, with wildflowers and hardy shrubs managing to find purchase in the cracks and crevices.

From the shadows near the lake, a figure crept to the shore. At first, it was just a shape—ethereal and shifting, but as it drew closer, its form became clearer. It was a towering, otherworldly creature, with eyes that glowed like burning embers and a body that shimmered with an eerie dark light. Its presence exuded an aura of malevolence, and it moved with a grace that seemed both fluid and terrifying. There was no way to describe this beast. It looked and felt dark. My eyes fell off of it as if I was never truly allowed to see it.

Alana stepped forward instinctively, her hands raised in a defensive posture. "Stay back!" she commanded, her voice carrying an authoritative edge. "You have no place here!"

The creature's gaze locked onto her, and a low, guttural growl emanated from its throat. It was as though it could sense the strength within her, but it showed no sign of retreat. Instead, it advanced, its eyes now fixed on me with a predatory intensity.
