I had just got out of work, I picked up a couple overtime shifts at my local supermarket where I have been working for a few months. The day was finally over and it was just about 11 at night. I started to walk to the bus stop to catch the metro, the air was cold and windy. I had my hair in a high pony tail a couple of curls falling out. I made it to the bus stop and got my two dollars ready. I was just about to put my headphones in when I heard a faint voice call out "hey" but I wasent sure if it was directed towards me so I ignored it.
A few seconds later I heard a boy's voice say "didn't you hear me say hey". I had a confused look on my face I have never seen this boy before. He had brown slightly curled up hair and was wearing a over sized jacket with fur hood. I was surprised he was coming to talk to me he was attractive and I looked like a mess coming out of work.
He approached me and asked when the bus was coming. My voice cracked as I said 11:09. The silence was there for a couple minutes and then he asked me my name. I told him Y/N and he said mine is Ethan. I gave him a slight smile and said "nice to meet you" he smirked at me and said asked what school I went to. My heart started to beat a little faster the more I started to stare at him. I managed to get the words Jefferson high. And he began to tell me how he was getting transferred to there because he got expelled from his old school. He pulled out his phone and handed it to me, his hands were cold and soft. He said "I have my new schedule on there, see if we have a class together". My eyes squinted reading the phone because his brightness was all the way up. I seen we had geometry, science, world history, and gym. I handed his phone back and said "yeah we have a couple". His smirk became a smile after I said that and then we seen the bus pull up.
We stepped on put in our money and as I turned my head I seen the bus was full but there was a seat for two people open. I walked down the aisle and took the window seat. Ethan trailed behind and sat next to me. His knee slowly made his way to touching mine and I just kept looking out the window. After 5 minutes my stop came Ethan got up and let me out but I noticed he was behind me walking off the bus. I turn around and said "following me huh"? He said "you wish baby girl my stop is the same as yours". My heart began racing faster and my cheeks where turning red.
I began walking down the street with Ethan slightly behind me. I got to my house and said "see you in school Monday" he waved good bye but I seen that his house was the one across from mine. I seen last week the neighbor had just moved in but I Didn't see Ethan and he didn't tell me he moved here. I started to smile knowing that he is my neighbor and I can't wait for Monday to soon come.
