Chapter 7 ~ "I can't wait."

Kensington Palace, A1

Charlotte and George had returned to school that morning, Louis was in his room taking a nap, Kate was busy adjusting to her new tile of Princess, and Skylar had gone to an engagement with Sophie Wessex to visit a children's theater, so Addy and Will were alone.

Addy sat on a sofa with William, in front of her laptop, preparing to call her grandmother and inform her of recent events.

"Rosie, it's going to be fine." Will assured her, noticing her hands shaking slightly, "It's your Nana and Joe, what's the worst that could happen?"

"Joe could decide to test his diplomatic immunity." Addy said with a raised brow.

"Good point." Will nodded "At least it would be funny."

"William!" Addy said while laughing in disbelief.

He laughed, "I'm joking, but it got you to laugh, didn't it?"

"Whatever, let's just get this over with." She brushed her hair down over her bruises in hopes that they wouldn't be immediately noticed, before turning on her laptop and calling her grandmother on Skype.

"Rosalie, William!" Clarisse said as soon as the call connected, her smile fading when she noticed the anxious looks on the Prince and Princess. "What is wrong?"

Addy put on a smile, "That's actually why we're calling Nana. Something happened and I wanted to tell you before it somehow made the news."

"Is everyone alright? What happened?" Clarisse said, sharing a concerned look with Joe, who sat beside her.

"We're all fine, but... um..." Addy stuttered.

"Meghan's been arrested." William finished for her.

"It's about time.." Joe mumbled, receiving a stern look from Clarisse.

"Why was she arrested?" Clarisse asked.

Addy gave William a pleading look, receiving a nod before he began explaining. "As I'm sure you saw, Meghan tripped Skylar during Granny's funeral at Windsor. Well, their was a family dinner that night at Buckingham Palace and Meghan kept making comments about how Skylar 'messed everything up' and that 'she shouldn't have been there in the first place.' Skylar ended up having a panic attack and Harry made Meghan leave. Yesterday morning, Pa called Rosie and I, as well as Harry and Meghan, into a meeting to discuss Meghan and Skylar. Skipping forward, Pa told Meghan that she wasn't allowed to be near Skylar or speak to Addy anymore." He looked at Addy.

Addy took a deep breath, "After that, Charles asked if there was anything else that needed to be addressed. Harry said that he wanted a divorce, and then he and Meghan began to argue. I stood from my seat and excused Arty and myself, and then Meghan turned to me, claiming that everything was my fault. Then..." her voice trailed off and she moved her hair from her face revealing the bruises.

"Oh my!" Clarisse gasped.

"What happened?" Joe demanded.

"After she said that I was the cause of all her problems, she slapped me. I lost my balance and fell, hitting my head on Charles' desk on the way down." Addy explained.

"We had a doctor check her and he said that she had a mild concussion but that she would be fine." William assured the older couple, trying to calm their worries.

"Charles then had the guards restrain her, she's under house arrest at Frogmore Cottage until the divorce is finalized and we decide what charges we want to press." Addy said.
