"This is nice, you haven't joined me at an engagement in quite some time." Edward said as he looked at his niece, who sat beside him.

"It has been a while, hasn't it?" Addy said.

The pair were currently in a car, heading to meet with the Production Guild of Great Britain. It was meant to only be Edward going but Addy decided last minute to join him.

"Life has just been..." Addy paused. "A lot, lately."

"And from what I hear, it's not letting up anytime soon is it?" Edward asked, causing the princess to shake her head.

"I'm due back in Genovia by the end of the week, the trial starts on Monday." She sighed.

"How are you dealing with everything?" He asked in concern.

"If it were up to me, I would probably just dismiss everything." Addy shook her head slightly, "I think I'm just tired. First, I had to deal with her harassing me, then Skylar, now it's court, which I know will eventually make its way into the news. I just want it to all be over with."

"Sweetheart, I hate to tell you this, but I don't think it will ever be over, especially now that you and Harry are together. People are going to talk and there will be all kinds of rumors, she will probably sell a story about you being the other woman, and even though we all know none of it is true, the media will eat it up." Edward said sympathetically, as he reached over to pat her knee lightly.

"I keep asking myself if I really want to do this, date Harry I mean." Addy said doubtfully.

"Adelaide, you've been in love with the boy your entire life." He stated, looking at her as if she was crazy.

"Sometimes love isn't enough." She shrugged lightly. "Like you said I've loved him forever, thirty plus years, and he only ever looked my way when there wasn't anything else, and then when something, or someone, better came along, I was invisible again. I don't know if I could handle him leaving again."

"Did you ever think that maybe he just needed to grow up before he could truly love you? Back then you were both still children who were dealing with things that a child should never experience. You are adults now, with children, you know what it takes to make a relationship work." Edward said.

"I guess you're right." Addy said softly.

"It's okay, to be scared darling." He said while looking into her eyes.

"Thank you, Uncle Eddie."

"That's what I'm here for." Edward joked.

"No, seriously, thank you, I really don't know where I'd be today if it weren't for you and Aunt Sophie. You both took me in after Papa died and helped me through the hardest times of my life." Addy said gratefully.

"Sweetheart you do not have to thank me, or Sophie for that matter, for taking care of you. We didn't just take care of you because Phillipe made us your godparents. We love you, Adelaide, you're just as much our daughter as Louise is, and there are times we wish we could have done more for you." Edward said sincerely.
