My dad didn't exactly take the news well. He shouted multiple times at Rhys until they somehow finally came to an agreement. Rules were made like I had to be back home before 11, no staying the night at Rhys's house, oh yeah. Rhys decided to move back into his old house and I was so happy to see Lily and Marie. "So what's the occasion?" I ask sitting at the table with my dad and Julie. They called me yesterday asking if I wanted to have dinner with them but everything looks... nice. Like extremely nice.
"I decided to propose." My dad says, I wasn't surprised, he's been smitten with Julie ever since they met.
"Finally." I laughed.
"So you're not mad?" My dad asks.
"Of course not. I'm happy for you two." I smile, we raised our glasses and clinked them together.

"Mommy look what I made at school." Lily said to me. She now calls me mommy instead of Lolly and the first time she said it Rhys wasn't even surprised, he told me she had been waiting to call me that for months and I wasn't surprised either. Even though I'm almost 20 I liked being Lily's mom, even if it's not biological.
"Baby it's beautiful." She passed me a finger puppet. I kissed her forehead.
My dad finally came round to this whole Rhys and I dating thing a couple of months ago and he was shocked when he found out that Lily considers me her mommy. Things never went back to being the same for Rhys and my dad but my dad tolerates him so I guess that's something.

Lily just turned 10 and to celebrate we are going out for dinner. We left Mila with Julie and my dad and their faces lit up when I asked them to babysit. Lily's not stopped giggling since we got at the fancy restaurant. As we sit down Lily keeps giggling and looking at Rhys. "What's going on baby?" I say to Lily.
"Nothing..." She says mischievously. Rhys sighs.
"I was going to wait until after dinner but I guess I have to do it now?"
"What now?" I laugh. He stands up from the table and walks to the side of me and gets down on one knee. My breathing stops. Oh my god.
"I love you Lola." I gulp at his words. "And that is why I want you to be in my life, Lily's and our daughter's forever. You mean the world to all of us and I can't imagine you not in it. Lola, will you marry me?" People look at us and stare. My eyes begin to tear up.
"Yes, god yes." I cry.
He stands up and kisses me whilst putting the most gorgeous ruby ring on my finger. "Yay mommy and daddy are getting married!" I hear Lily say. Cheers go off around us but I can barely hear them. He's mine and I am his.
