Perfect Chills

Akane woke up pretty late the next morning, and her head was throbbing as she slowly sat up and her eyes scammed the dimly lit room.

It wasn't her apartment.

She immediately panicked as she checked her surroundings once again before noticing the clothes she was wearing -- they weren't hers either. So her first instinct was to check for her undergarments beneath the large maroon button-down that was put on her, and thankfully they were still there.

The shirt seemed familiar as she adjusted it on her body, before getting a whiff of that same intoxicating scent from the night before, but before she could fully process her situation she felt movement next to her, and she slowly shifted her gaze to the right side of the bed she found herself on. There were about three or four pillows lined down the center of the bed, and on the opposite side of the makeshift barrier was Daiki.

Fast asleep, snoring soundly -- and  shirtless, hopefully just shirtless from what she could see.

The ravenette stretched her arm across the bed and slowly peeled the cover off of him, letting out a sigh of relief upon seeing his black sweatpants and boxers that peeked out just above his waistband.

She dropped the cover before returning to her original spot, burying her face in her palms as she took a deep breath, the events of the last night running through her mind in a blur as she tried her hardest to figure out how exactly she got to what seemed to be his house.

But Akane wasn't able to get too far into thought before she heard the man move again, but this time as her eyes met his figure, another set caught hers first, he was awake.

"Did you sleep well Nene?" he asked in a hushed voice and he slowly sat up in the bed.

"How... did I get here..?" she muttered in ignorance to his question, and the fact his smile didn't waver even a little made her uneasy.

"You don't have to worry too much, I think your drink was just a lot more alcoholic than you knew, so when I saw a woman escorting you out of the bathroom it worried me, so you were brought to me and I planned to take you home but I don't know where that is.."  he went on in a calming voice as he held her hand gently, when'd he even grab it?  "You were conscious until I brought you inside, but you were still intoxicated, so I brought you to my room and helped you change into what you're wearing now. And before you worry, we didn't have intercourse or anything of the sort, but I still didn't want to leave you alone in this state."

He spoke softly and he gazed at her through half-lidded eyes, purposefully leaving out how she clung to him in her drunken state, seeing how flustered she was from what she was already told.

"Did I do anything idiotic last night..?"

"Not at all, though you were a little protestant about sleeping in a shirt last night-" he replied with a chuckle as he placed a light kiss on her knuckles. "I wouldn't have minded at all, you have a beautiful figure, but I didn't want you to feel any more uneasy than you already would be upon waking up in an unfamiliar place." He finished as he gave her a few minutes to process everything, but before she could speak again she was pulled across the bed and entrapped by strong arms, and before she knew it she was being carried through the tall doorway of his bedroom, where she was met with a much larger room with enormous windows when the sun shyly peeked through the curtains to kiss her olive skin.

And as she admired the beautifully decorated room around her she was finally released onto a tall and cushioned stool.

"Is there anything you're strongly allergic to?" Daiki asked as he made his way opposite the woman, leaning across the large counter as he awaited her response, but was only answered by a slow shake of her head.

"Perfect, now allow me about half an hour okay?" He said as he turned his back to her and stepped into the kitchen out of sight, but soon returning with a plate of fruit, strawberry halves with a dollop of whipped cream on each, peel orange slices, and a smaller bowl of diced apples with caramel drizzled on top of it.

"This should help rehydrate you and relieve your hangover while I cook for you Nene," he stated only after brushing her hair out of her face, and even gently pulling it into a loose bun for her. Then he disappeared into the kitchen once again, and she was a bit skeptical but she popped one of the strawberries halves into her mouth-- this was the sweetest of these heart-shaped berries that she had ever eaten. Her tastebuds were entranced by the fruit as she periodically consumed the fresh fruits in front of her with a smile.

It was only when her plate was nearly empty that she regained awareness of her surroundings and looked up, once again meeting Daiki's half-lidded gaze.

"I believe you enjoyed the fruit?" he chuckled once again as she slid two plates in front of her, one had bacon, eggs, and two empty crepes, while the other was split in two; one half containing only more fruit while the other held a savory filling.

"I wasn't sure whether or not you eat pork so I left it out entirely, and I also didn't know if you'd like a sweet or savory crepe so I prepared both," Daiki added as he finally handed her a glass of ice water, with about 4 lemon slices floating in the liquid and another wedged onto the rim.

"I'm not really a picky eater- so I wouldn't have minded either flavor.." she said as she picked a stripe of bacon off her plate and bit into it, it was unusually soft as her teeth separated the small portion and she also noticed it was a bit sticky and strangely sweet as well.

"It's candied bacon if you're wondering."

"I knew it tasted familiar... I don't think I've had this since I was little..." she trailed off and he stayed silent to allow her to finish eating while he ate himself.

Nearly an hour of silence passed before she even realized it, he'd given her the space to explore where he lived and she soon found herself back where she woke up— and she finally began questioning everything.

Why'd he wanted to find her so bad?
Why did he offer his life to her?
Why did he treat her so... gently?
Why did he bring her back to his house when he could've allowed someone she trusted to take her back to her apartment?

All these thoughts and more flooded her mind as she lie with her eyes shut, her mind drifting off in an attempt to find these answers, matter of fact, she was so far gone that she didn't notice the weight and extra warmth on her legs.

At least not until she felt cool, calloused hands against her thighs and she instinctively shuddered as her lower lip was caught between her teeth. She then slowly opened her eyes, the blinds were drawn shut again and there was soft music playing from... somewhere.
And the last thing she noticed was the weight that held her down, Daiki laid against her smaller frame with his head on her stomach, the rest of his body rested against her thighs, and his hands now made their home on her hips.
"Daiki..?" she muttered as she examined his figure, no answer.

"Daiki?" she repeated, this time with a tap on his shoulder, but no answer.

"Come on-" she started, this time with a gentle tap to his head, the only response she received was a soft grunt as he adjusted his head against her stomach and she sighed, if he wasn't going to wake up then she was going to have to break herself free.

At least, that was what she wanted to do, but his touch was... comforting. His rough hands against her porcelain skin, his muscular body wasn't uncomfortable to be beneath, and his slow breaths against her torso sent chills down her spine.
