Evelyn's pov:

The rest of my first week at Rosehill goes by fairly quickly. After the conversation I had with Eleanor on Monday I haven't been able to get Gabbi out of my head. I can't stop thinking of her.

I've seen her sitting alone in the library a couple of times, and in the cafeteria. She looks so pretty and peaceful when she's reading. I've made eye contact with Gabbi a couple of times, mostly at lunch, but we haven't talked since the first day.

Today is Friday, and I walking out to Eleanor's car after school. I see Drea sitting the passenger seat and she rolls down the window and shouts and looks at me with innocent eyes:

"Heyyy, you don't mind sitting in the back seat do you? I have long legs so I need the extra space, compared to you." She smirks in a friendly way.

"Oh heyyy, you don't mind that I kick the back of your seat with my short little legs, do you?" I smile sarcastically and step into the car, throwing my bag in the seat next to me.

I can hear Eleanor laugh under her breath before she clears her throat and backs out of the parking lot slightly grinning.

"I would appreciate if you didn't, thanks." Drea says while also smiling.

I'm drinking from my water bottle and looking out the window and see that we just passed the street to our house.

"Um, El? Why did we pass our house?"

"We're going to Drea's. She's helping us get ready for the party, which by the way is in two hours."

"Uggggghhhh noooooo." I groan "Can't we just stay home and order pizza?"

"I thought you wanted to see your little friend." She smiles

"Shut up! Besides, we haven't talked all week."

"Wait Eleanor, are we talking about her crush Gabbi?" Drea say's exited, turning to Eleanor who is just turning in to Drea's street.

"You told her?" A say in a whiny, complaining voice.

"What? It's cute!" Eleanor protest.

We arrive at Drea's house and go into her room. Eleanor and I sit down on her bed while she takes out the bag of new swimsuits and other clothing garments her and Eleanor had bought for us yesterday to wear at the party. Drea pours out all of the things onto the bed and scrambles through them all, finding perfect outfits for each of us.

For me, Drea had picked out a black bikini with a rainbow seem on the edges of the fabric. On top of the bathing suit she had picked out a mesh, see through black, sleeveless dress with a slit in the bottom by my right leg. My shoes were a pair of black, high heel sandals with little light beige colored flowers on top. Together, Eleanor and Drea had picked out some matching accessories for me to wear, like a short rainbow crystal necklace, an ankle bracelet and some hanging cherry earrings.

Lastly Drea helped me do my hair. She took the top half part of my long, caramel colored hair and made two French braids starting from my hairline and moving back to the top of my head. The rest of my hair was curled into soft beachy curls and hung down on my back together with the two braids.

"Sooo, What's my final score?" Drea asks jokingly, but with an accomplished look on her face as she looks me up and down, admiring her fashion style.

"I love it, but doesn't the rainbows, and the cherries make me look a bit too...Gay?" I look at myself in the mirror. I really do love my outfit, but I'm feeling extremely self conscious and insecure . I don't want Gabbi to think I'm dressing up for her either. I can imagine the awkward conversation of her asking me why I'm dressed so revealing.
