Ginny's POV

I sat by the hospital bed with Ron, Hermione, Neville and Luna. None of us spoke. I gripped Harry's cold hand. How could this have happened? It felt like a dream, a terrible, terrible nightmare. I just wanted to wake up and be over with it. Of course, I couldn't just wake up because this was reality and reality never has a clear solution.

The healers occasionally came by to check on him and tell us that he would wake up. Of course, they steered clear of the whole he's going to be okay speech. He wasn't going to wake up his normal self. All wizard kind knows that getting kissed by a dementor is a fate worse than death. A fate not even the cruelest of criminals should get(except maybe Voldemort and his Death Eaters).

However, it did seem that the team of healers were pulling all the strings to get Harry back. Then again, when someone saves you and everyone you care about, you would want them to have a good life!

None of us left his bedside. Mum, dad and my brothers had to return to Hogwarts but Mcgonagall had told us five that we could stay with him. That made me think. Had Mcgonagall known that Harry was going to propose? That must've been the reason. I felt my heart sink. Thinking about the future we could have had hurt. The future that we should have had. It hurt worse than the cruciatus curse.

6 hours later

Everyone was asleep except me. Luna and Neville sat across from me, her head resting on his shoulder as she dreamt. Hermione and Ron's hands were inches away after falling asleep holding eachother. Seeing the couples made me feel lonely. They had each other for support. Me? The only person who I could rely on was just a shell. I had made the mistake of falling in love with Harry Potter. Then again, it was the best mistake of my life.
Then, my thoughts were interrupted by Healer Solace. Healer Solace was the best in the business and, of course, he had been assigned Harry's case.

"Ahem!" He coughed, waking up the others who jumped and looked up. "Good news!" He announced. We all looked at each other. Hope lit up in each of our eyes. "we have found a way to cure him!"

"Really?" Ron exclaimed.

"W-what?" Neville stuttered.

"Did the Nargles help you like I asked them to?" Luna wondered.

"How?" Hermione questioned.

"Will he be okay?" I asked.

"Well," Healer Solace said, suddenly looking a little nervous. "We can't be one hundred percent sure that it will work but it's the closest anyone has ever got to a possible cure. However, it will need another person and it's dangerous. Very dangerous."

"I'll do it!" Ron offered. "I'm very experienced with danger!

"Please." Hermione scoffed. "You two would've died a thousand times if it wasn't for me. I'll do it."

"Although I'm happy to see such determination from his friends, there is only a certain person who can do this."

"Who?" The five of us asked in unison.

"Well," Solace said, sweeping some of his blond hair from his eyes. "to do this, the two people have to share a very- let's say profound bond. You see, in order to cure him, the other person will have to enter his mind. When a person is kissed by a dementor, they essentially get trapped inside their own heads and forced to live truest awful moments. That's why when, whoever enters his mind, must be the soulmate of Harry."

Silence echoed around the room and all heads turned to me. I eventually spoke up.

"You said it would be dangerous. In what way?" I asked.

"If you do not succeed in bringing Harry back, you may get trapped in there with him."

"No way." Ron spoke up. "I'm not having my sister do that! I want Harry back as much as anyone else, but... Well, if you don't do it I- I can't lose you too Gin! I've lost too much, Fred, Tonks, Lupin and now Harry too. There's no way I'm going to lose my baby sister as well! I won't let that happen."

I got up and walked over to my brother. I could see Hermione squeezing his hand. I was so glad when I heard they were together. They were always meant to be.

"You haven't lost Harry, not yet." I said. "We can't give up on him Ron. Not after everything he's done for us." I then turned to Healer Solace. "I'll do it."

He smiled. "I thought you would. You are a brave woman Ginny Weasley. I can see why Harry loved you."

I felt my self turn red.

"When will we begin?" I asked.

"In a few minutes. We just need to get you ready first, Miss Weasley. Follow me."
