After a while of being sat, talking to both Chris and Ricky, as well as occasionally having input from the rest of the band, who were hanging back, as not to swarm her, she realises that she can't see her mother anywhere in the room.
She quickly does a visual scan, but finds nothing; no trace of her.
Unsure of how to feel, she feels anxiety rise in her stomach, making it's way up her throat and making her feel physically sick.
Something doesn't feel quite right, but yet she can't quite put her finger on it.
She tries to keep herself focused on the conversation at hand, happening between Chris and Ryan, as they'd gone off on a tangent about their past, and She'd been intently listening in before.
In her head, she times two minutes, the rough time it would take for her mum to get back from the bathroom should she have gone.
"That girl was strange! I can't believe that she honestly thought that you were a shapeshifter!" Ryan speaks, as she vaguely listens into the conversation.
"Oh god, don't! She blew my phone up for days trying to confirm that he was one" Vinny speaks up, with an exasperated, yet amused tone to his voice.
To be honest, she has no clue what she's just roughly zoned back into, but once again, zones out, finding that her internal clock for two minutes has ran out.
She swallows roughly from where she's still sat, leaned into Chris, his arm pulled around her.
She worries that somethings happened to her mother.
She's concerned that she's overdosed in the bathroom, or that she's simply up and left her here with Chris; it wouldn't be the first time she's just dumped her somewhere and left her to find her own way home.
Still, she hopes that she hasn't; she doesn't know how she'll explain it to Chris.
If he wants to keep her in his life she wants it be because he wants to, not because he sees her as a pity project.
And, as much as she's been waiting for the day that she meets her dad for years now, her mum is still her mum, and despite all of the nasty shit that she's done to her, she still cares about the woman.
I mean it would be hard not to, she still birthed her, and for anyone, of any age, mothers are important, so while the chance to still gain that motherly bond remains, she'll do anything to salvage it; no matter how unrealistic.
Scanning her eye around the room quickly, and relishing that, in the first time in her life she's actually being seen and heard, she sighs internally when she knows she's going to have to go and figure out what's happened to her mother.
She spends ten more seconds, curled into Chris side, relishing in the warmth that his body heat is providing her, before gently pulling herself up.
She'd been content just sat, listening to everybody talk.
It had been overwhelming being surrounded by everyone and talking, so she found herself getting more and more quiet as time went on.
It wasn't intentional, but to be honest, she found it a strange sensation that she was talking so much; she liked it, but it was a lot to take in.
She's glad to Chris was seemingly able to read that she wasn't being rude in her silence.
"Everything okay?'" Chris questions his newly discovered daughter, and she nods, pointing towards where the bathroom is.
For her, it's easier to just pretend that she needs the bathroom than to say that she's going to look for her mother; that would arouse suspicion anyway.
