" Hey don't worry your grandma is bitches, we know how to take care of each other".My grandma said as I was saying my goodbye to them in the town. I quickly look up and take a long breath. "goodbye bitches" I shouted and walked to the bus stop.
I was waiting for my bus, so I thought of reading Judy's diary. " let's see" I said. I open the diary it was rusty but her name was beautifully written on the first page as I opened it.
DEAR DIARY
18 august 1945
Hello, I am Judy pager. This is 18 august 1945 and I am ready for my first day on the battlefields. I am scared, no I am nervous. My letter congratulated me saying I would be the first lady doctor there. As others ran away quickly. My dream came true. I am not very fond of soldiers. They want the doctor to treat them but they don't know how to treat the doctor. I guess I'll be writing only these much for now. As I have to take bus and report on the Battlefields.
Bye , Yours Judy.
I closed the book as the bus came. I wanted to read more but I stepped on the bus and paid for the seat. I took my seat. I sat there and watched outside saying bye to OLD NEARON. I opened the book once again. I appreciated her writings for a minute and continued reading the next part.
20 August 1945
Yesterday, I reported on the ground but I was late by 15 minutes. I stepped forward. There were many soldiers practicing. I looked at it for a second appreciating their body. I admired it and moved forward. I asked a bunch of soldiers " Excuse me, Can you please tell me where is medical camp located". They stared at me for a second and stated " Are you a new Doctor in here". I smiled at them and nodded my head. The man started directing me with the help of his hand " Behind the pole, right beside the green tent". He said. Once I spotted it. I said thanks and moved forward.
Once I reached there. I saw a man who was tall with a sharp jawline and his body perfectly fitted the suit he was wearing. I looked at his batch. He was wearing a commander suit. He was not a battleground soldier. he was their head. He looked at his watch as if he is waiting for somebody. I suddenly thought maybe it was me. I stepped inside with a generous smile. He looked at converging his eyes from his watch to me. " hello, I am Judy pager, new battlefields doctor assigned here" I finished my lines in front of him. " Sorry, to say please take the next bus and move where you have come from." He stated . " excuse me," I said confusingly. " Yep, we don't need the doctor who is late on their first day," he said while clenching his jaw. '"Oh, that wasn't my fault, My bus was late so I have to change it and with my lots of efforts I reached but just fifteen minutes late" I kept my reason. He laughed at me and again in a serious tone he stated: " A soldier dies to keep you safe but all you have is an excuse". " Sir, It's not an excuse, It's a reason which I am referring to, " I said.
while completing my sentence we both hear a siren. I looked outside. There was a soldier. Who was hurted very badly. I ran outside while bumping into him. Whatever I wanted to check my patients. I waited and told everybody to clear the path. I asked some nurses to arrange a bed. We took the patient and checked his vitals. He wasn't responding. I took my stethoscope and checked on him again. At least his heart was responding. We took him inside. His head was Releasing uncontrollable blood. I immediately started surgery. While the commander was only staring at me. The surgery went long. I went outside and gave them the news that we have save him. " better give him rest for two days". I stated.
Everyone was happy with me leaving that commander. Everyone ran inside. I took my bag and started leaving just in the hope he will stop me. "Listen" he stated. My heart started pounding. I turned to him "Yes?". " You can start your job here, Headquarters are near the camp." He stated pointing towards the Quarters. I started jumping while he started leaving .
I took my bag. As a lady showed me my quarter room. I said "thanks to her". Now I am writing to you as yesterday I was very tired. For now bye. BY THE WAY, the jerk's name was ADRIAN HIGGINS.
YOURS, JUDY.
What her she met her future husband. I felt butterflies reading about their encounter.
