Marissa~

I came to with my head feeling horrible. I must have blacked out and hit my head on the concrete of the gas station. But I felt soil beneath my fingertips. I looked down and realized it was dirt, I was in a small forest clearing. It was beautiful. Sun shining through the forest foliage, Oak trees all around me, towering above my head. "How the fuck did I get here?" I thought to myself. Then I remembered that Ashley had taken me somewhere, an earthquake or something had shaken us, and it all went dark. Where was she? "Ashley!!" I screamed, getting slightly worried at not seeing her next to me. I stood, but instantly became nauseous. I sat down once again. "Ashley!!! This isn't funny! Where are you?!" I yelled again.

I heard the bushes behind me ruffle, and spun my head, which caused an instant splitting sensation near the base of my neck. "Quit yelling dumbass! I heard you the first time!" She spoke from behind the shrubbery, finally emerging into my view. "Oh my god!" I happily yelled, running and hugging her, ignoring the pain in my head. "I was so scared! Where are we?" I asked.

"Well I know this is gonna be hard to understand, but I kinda cracked space time continuum, by applying quantum physics to the "everything is connected" and e=mc squared theories." She explained in the most serious and "dumbed" down version that she could explain to me. I could tell she was lying. That is impossible right? I began to laugh. "Who do you think I am? I'm not as stupid as you think I am, don't be fooled by my c averages." I told her. But after not getting a snide remark or any emotion back from her, I realized, "you're not joking are you?!"

"No. We actually came back from the future! I'm a freakin genius!" She happily exclaimed, hugging me. "Good for you! But how the hell do we get home?" I asked.

"Well I hadn't really thought that far ahead. You know? I was just kinda shocked that all this actually worked in the first place. No one has written a manual on it either, so we are just gonna have to wing it for now." She told me. "WING IT!!!!? ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY?? You bring me to the middle of nowhere, Somehow transport me back in time, then tell me you don't know how to get us back, so we have to fucking WING IT?!" I yelled at her. How could she do this to me? What are they gonna say back home? They are gonna think we got kidnapped, or ran away! This is not good.

She looked around," what was that?" She asked me. "Idk maybe the sound of me panicking!" I yelled back at her. "No that's not it, it sounded like voices, but not yours. Like a dude's." She insisted. I looks at her, then suddenly saw something jump over the bushes to our left.

"Greetings fair maidens!" A man spoke from atop the horse. " art thou two needeth assistance? For I am prince Christopher!" He added. I was speechless, not because of the fright that overwhelmed my body, but by how gorgeous the guy In front of me was. He had light brown shaggy hair, icy blue eyes, and a carving jawline. He rode a pure black horse and was dressed like someone from our medieval textbooks. "Ugmmm hggh" was all that I was able to utter.

"What odd regalia do you possess." He noted, carefully observing every part of my clothing. It instantly made me nervous, and I tried to smooth my rumpled shirt. "We come from a land far away." Ashley interjected through my speechlessness. "This is the regular attire from someone from our part of the realm." She added.

"I see." He replied, giving us both a wide toothy grin, which was of course, mesmerizing. "Nicholas!" He yelled into the forest, as another boy dressed similarly, but blonde and green eyed, rode to his side. "We are to take these lovely maidens to the castle." And with that, he grabbed my arm and easily, almost effortlessly it seemed, pulled me up onto the saddle with him. Nicholas helped Ashley onto his horse, and the four Of us turned and rode through the forest.
