"I had to keep her safe, and I couldn't let the public see her with me. Raiko is with her, and you know the man."

"I know. I got everything you need."

"Good." Then I pressed the end call button. It was Sabino on the other line.

Facing the glass wall of my office, I turned around and strode back to my chair and resume to read the files my asset had sent me. Still holding my phone, I scroll my contact list and dial Axel's number.

"Boss?"

"Fucking impressive, Axel! You did your job well. I'll call you for your next move and make sure no one knows you're working for me."

"Yes, boss. I have several photos here from yesterday's event. I will send it to your email now."

I didn't get the chance to respond to Axel because someone opened the door and barged inside with my secretary behind her, nervous. My feisty sister had arrived!

She turned to face my anxious secretary. "Get out now!"

Garie turned to me with an apologetic face. "Attorney?"

"Leave us," I said with an overbearing tone.

My sister stomped inside with her red stilettos, and with a granite floor, I could hear the noise, not just her heels but her indignant voice. She stops and grasps her waist, looking at me with fiery eyes.

"When do you have plans to tell me about what happened in Tagaytay?!"

With furrowed brows, I quickly changed the exposed files into race car images. I slowly rose from the chair and greeted her with a not-so-cordial smile. Welcome home, Elandra!

"Don't you dare change the mood here! You almost got killed, yet you never had the gut to tell me?!"

There is only one person who could disturb my sister about this matter, fucking Ezekiel. I close my eyes and fill my lungs with enough air because I'm so pissed and want to punch him on his fucking poker face. And I knew Ezekiel had reported everything to Elandra, including the capture of Elizalde's whereabouts.

I angle my head to the right and smirk. "I'm alive and still breathing. Damn it! Why do I need to inform you about what happened? What Am I, a five-year-old boy who's afraid of the monster? Fuck! I am the fucking monster, Elandra!"

"Oh, yeah! Let me remind you of this. Our brother was worried about you; we all are. How can you be so selfish with what happened? What if you're the one who got stabbed? You freaking monster!"

"Do you think I will let those scumbags get away without my marks? Ezekiel was so fucking vacuous to ponder that I couldn't handle my foes very well."

"How could you?! He merely wanted me to check on you because he knows you won't listen to him."

"Well-enough. I'm surprised he still has his fucking doltish brain attached. But I'm close to killing him for passing me!" I said, pointing my forefinger directly at me.

"He's our brother! Ezekiel is always concerned with what you do to yourself rather than others!"

"There is nothing to check. Thanks for our brother's unsolicited concern. You can go back to Paris. I have so much work to do." I slammed back into my chair and pretended to peruse some of the files strew on my table.

"How dare you talk to me like that?! I'm still your eldest sister!"

I have enough. Thanks to our Architect, who suggested putting the soundproof wall to cover the commotion of a fuming client. But now, it was my sister and me.
