"Potter, that cheat!"
"Calm down, Draco. Potter will probably get himself killed."
Kali rolled her eyes at the attempt of Pansy Parkinson calming Draco down. The others also cringed at her sucking up to him.
"You're just jealous that Potter's getting all the spotlight," Kali joked. Pansy gave an unimpressed glare and she returned it with a loving blow kiss.
"Awww Draco, there's no need to get jealous. You can always put your name in the goblet in the next four years," Theo laughed, cleverly working out that they wouldn't be at Hogwarts in the next 4 years. Everyone took their turns cussing Draco out, and finally broke him out of his mood. Pansy was concerned with the method they took in cheering each other up. She definitely struggled in finding ways to fit in. This group of friends were so very unpredictable.
"Okay, but seriously. How did he manage to do it?" Draco stood up again, pacing.
Athena rolled her eyes. "Okay, but seriously. Why does it matter?" she echoed.
"Draco's got a point. No way Potter could be so sure that his name would be taken out," Blaise pointed out.
Kali understood the seriousness of the situation. Something felt off. "I don't think Potter planned it." Everyone gave her an intrigued look, implying for her to go on. And so she did.
"Only three names are meant to come out of the goblet. One from each school. So why was there a fourth name? Why was it Potter of all people? Someone who couldn't enter their name? Even if he somehow did, the three participants were already chosen and he wasn't one of them. He isn't supposed to be participating, even if he was of age. That means there's something else going on. Right?" She looked at them for validation. She definitely didn't want to be playing devil's advocate this late at night, no matter how much she enjoyed it.
Athena grabbed Kali's arms and squealed, "Wowww, you really are smart!"
"Definitely should've been a Ravenclaw," Daphne said.
"Really?" Kali questioned, unimpressed. "You just need to put two and two together. Instead of being so closed minded," she coughed, raising an eyebrow at Draco. "I get you hate him, but Potter definitely didn't orchestrate this whole thing."
"That mudblood Granger probably helped."
"Draco! There's no need for that," Daphne stepped in.
"Potter had to have done this..."
"Ohhh he's in denial," Theo sing-songed and Athena joined in.
Everyone else had gotten up to tease Draco but Kali kept still. She knew it was crazy but something more must've gone on. Did she care though? I mean she should, it could be something threatening - it was putting children in danger. Yet... it felt like something she could feed her mind with, only when she had desperate feelings of boredom.

Kali was sitting on the branch of a tree while resting her head on Draco's shoulder as he held his arm around her. Theo laid on Kali's lap and she stroked his hair in comfort. The three were waiting for Athena and Blaise to come out into the courtyard.
"There's Potter," Draco scoffed, pointing him out to Crabbe, Goyle and the rest of his clique.
"Ugh, what are you going to do now," Kali sighed and raised her head off of him. He ignored her and called out for Potter, trying to get Crabbe and Goyle to watch his moves.
