It was finally the night of the Yule Ball. The girls in the Slytherin dorm were running around, getting their makeup done and doing each other's hair, frantically.
Pansy had used every single blush palette she found, smudging her makeup on. The two sisters, Astoria and Daphne, were cleaning each other up in a calm fashion compared to the rest of the girls.
Kali and Athena looked in the mirror in delight. Although they had dates, they were basically going with each other.
Kali wore an emerald green dress that reached down to her feet. She wore a diamond necklace and earrings with a diamond band around her waist. Her heels were also rhinestone and she had her hair simply down with light curls at the ends. It was plain and simple but made her look ravishing.
Athena had a lovely midnight blue dress that faded into black on the trail. She had enhanced it with sparkles like the few stars you see in the night sky.
The two went for a more elegant look compared to Pansy who wore a baby pink dress with frills at the bottom that fit tightly on her body to compliment her figure.
Daphne and Astoria huddled behind Kali and Athena in front of the mirror, complimenting each other for what seemed like forever like girls do.
"Come on then, girls," Pansy called. "We'll be late."
The group of girls headed down to the common room to see their favourite boys ready for them.
Blaise had his arm out for Daphne to take and he escorted her out of the common room. Theo ran towards his two special girls and mockingly bowed.
"May I take the hands of my two most beautiful girls."
"What a gentleman you are," Athena teased and the two gave them their hand.
Draco eyed Kali up and down. He was mesmerised by her picture perfect self as she glowed in excitement. When he broke his stare, he walked past the three teasing one another to put out his arm for Pansy.
"Draco, you look so dashing!" Pansy exclaimed.
He ignored the compliment and looked up at Astoria.
"Would you like my to take other arm, Astoria?" he asked.
She blushed at him. Although she had a date with someone else, she'd need someone to escort her to the hall. She replied, "Of course!" and took his arm.
Pansy gave a jealous glance but was reassured when Draco held her by her waist instead.
Athena, Theo and Kali left the common room without Draco so he could talk with Astoria. The three figured that Pansy would interject their conversations but Draco knew when to be a gentleman.
Once they made it outside the Great Hall, Theo left the two girls to look for their dates, which he didn't know they had, while he went and joined a group of girls.
"Which one do you think is his date?"
"He probably said he'd go with all of them."
"What a man-whore," sighed Kali. She wondered how Theo managed to hang around people who begged for him all the time. Boys will be boys. Always looking for someone to boost their ego.
Athena spotted Harry and Ron talking to Professor McGonagall and they headed over to them.
"Miss Astor, there you are! You will be dancing with Mr Potter for the first dance." And then she left.
