You sat up in your bed, putting your hand to your chest trying to catch your breath after the nightmare you had just had. Drops of perspiration bead on the corner of your forehead. To calm you then, you closed your eyes, clutching the sheets in search of comfort.

Your boyfriend Taeil was there, the comfort you were looking for, caressing your back with the tips of completely cold fingers. But despite this coldness, you still quivered at his touch, your lips stretched out in a big smile.

Several minutes passed, you thinking of him, of when he was there. Your eyes still closed, your heart rate had now resumed its normal course and your breathing too allowing you to inhale and exhale at full lung.

You slowly opened your eyes, looking at where your lover had been before, but he wasn't there anymore. You walked over and touched where Taeil was supposed to be, but the sheets were cold. You then sniffed the pillow next to you one last time, the sweet smell of lavender running through your nostrils before getting up to get ready.

You went down to the kitchen just making yourself a coffee having a date with your friend, SooJin, to eat a few things with her.

You then made your own homemade coffee, being careful not to do anything wrong, focused on having the best coffee possible, but one thing was certain: your coffee did not equal Moon Taeil's.

You forced yourself to drink it, each sip harder to swallow than the last. From an external point of view, it could have been an excellent coffee, but everything that did without it, everything became bitter for you. You weren't dependent on him, but for some time everything had become gloomy.

You put on your shoes and tied your laces, put on your coat having already dressed before going out to join SooJin.

You walked in a hurry in the streets since you were a little late, then afterwards you saw again this café which made you smile. It was your meeting place with Taeil, where you went every weekend, meeting up and the only times you had time.

You frowned finding this joke, if not a joke, anything but amusing.

-And what was this nightmare?"

You then told him how you saw your boyfriend, Moon Taeil being hit by a car, without the atrocious details of course, even if those were engraved in your memory, as if you had experienced it yourself.

"-I thought it was less worse than that.

Your answer was maybe ironic but SooJin spoke in a way that you couldn't clearly understand what she was saying.

She took on a more serious face and paused, visibly searching for her words to be clearer. You didn't order anything and to be honest, you didn't want anything. All you wanted was for SooJin to talk to you.

She leaned forward getting closer to you then said:

"-I'm going to cut corners, Taeil is dead. Like you said, the nightmare you have over and over again is his death. We buried him two months ago Y/N..."

No. It couldn't be true, she was lying, at least that's what you told yourself. But she wasn't wrong everything you saw, the person who comforted you when you closed your eyes was just an illusion because you missed him terribly that's why you didn't see him anywhere else .

You knew you couldn't bring him back even if you tried to catch him. Gradually everything came back to you and the only thing you could see was his eyes, his eyes so sad and sorry and you felt sorry yourself sorry for letting him go through sorry for not caring for him as much as you did you didn't want it.

Little scared the pain and sorrow mingled with your tears and you cried, feeling devastated, feeling guilty. An indescribable feeling gripped your throat and you had trouble breathing.

All you had missed was time but despite everything you still loved him even though you were doomed to have your brain replay that day over and over again when you closed your eyes. Moon Taeil will become a dream like many others in your memory but this one will be the most beautiful you have.

All you've been given is enough to dream of him to make you smile because everything will be hard without him.
