the sound of children echoed behind the beaded entrance of the husks. the home was large and converted with various species of plants. ikarí exchanged one last look with lo'ak before pushing the cover open. immediately children began to swarm her only to stop when they see him walk in. they all resembled her, to an extent. every child had hair covering their eyes, with a variation of bead patterns tied between their locks. it wasn't the only similarity, but it was the most notable to lo'ak in their short meeting. there was only a moment before the youngest jumps into ikarí's arms causing her to laugh. it was a cute laugh, at least that's what he thought.

"iuír, take your sibling out to play. i will come find you in a bit, alright?" she said to the oldest child. the young girl nodded as she gathers her sibling out the door, leaving them in an empty room. it enticed lo'ak as he took the various decorations trophies strung around the walls. beads were pinned to the ceiling and tangled with overgrown vines. each wall was decorated with  weaponry leaving the young man in awe. he again, became entranced with his new surroundings.

now it was ikarí's turn to be confused. they walked further into the home only to realized it was empty. the chief was not where he was meant to be which spiked her anxiety. her walk slowed to a stop causing lo'ak to bump against her abruptly.

"wait here." she says before maneuvering behind a large weaved threshold, leaving him by himself.

she rushes through the large hut only to find her brother crouched over he weapon, decorated in paint and beaded armor. his hair hung in front of his face, covering it so she could not see his expression . "tur'itan" she called with caution. he did not respond so she walked closer.

"turi" she calls again. he does not turn but he responds.

"who." his voice was cold. he was asking about the guest standing outside.

"he is na'vi. claims to come from the reef but his appearance if of the forest clans." she mimics his hardened behavior despite her growing nerves.

"name" he still did not look at her

"lo'ak sully" her response made him stop his actions.

"sully. as in jake sully?" his body turns as he looks up at her

"no turi, lo'ak sully" he sighs lowering his head.

"karí i know. i am talking about the name 'sully'. he is claiming to be a sully, right?"

"yes but why does that matter." she was just confused now.

"it matters because if he speaks the truth, he is claiming his father is turok maktou. you know who that is correct?"

"yes i know who that is. i am not stupid"

"really? because you are acting like it" he says chuckling. she goes to hit her older brother as he stands with his weapon in hand. the mood in the room lightened as they make their way to the front.

"what does he want" the older one says before stopping at the beaded cloth.

"i don't know, he wouldn't say and i didn't pry. he just requested to see you." they simultaneously lift the dense cloth to be greeted with a dazed lo'ak. as requested, he did not move from his spot.

the two men greet eachother while ikarí steps back to observe.

"i am told your name is lo'ak sully. is this true?" the older man spoke with confidence, standing tall before the guest.

"yes sir, that is true."he responds. his answer causes the girl to suppress a laugh. she has never heard her brother be referred "sir" before. it was honestly really strange.
