Ryder, Chase and Skye returned to the lookout.
Jake asked: "So how was the mission guys?" Ryder replied: "Going good so far." Chase added: "Yeah, furthermore we haven't used our mighty powers for some time..." Skye then flew up and said: "I've missed flying with this power now."
Carlos then asked: "Hey Ryder, Jake, I've made some tea...want some?" Ryder replied: "Sure thing, let's go. Pups, you can go play now, there're no missions." Ryder, Jake and Carlos then walked to the lookout.
"So Tracker, I've been wondering...what are your mighty powers?" Rocky asked Tracker. Tracker then replied: "I don't know...and I don't even know how to activate it...Woah!!" His paw glowed, dark green colour. Several plant vines popped up from the ground.
"Wow Tracker, you have plant manipulation powers!" Rubble said in awe. Tracker gasped: "This...is so cool!!" The pups then play with their powers.
"Wait...has anyone seen Marshall?" Zuma realised Marshall wasn't here. "No worries dude, Marshall is just right there..." Chase pointed at Marshall who is sitting under a tree, looking at the sea.
Skye saw Marshall under a tree. "He looked upset about something..." She thought. She then flew over to Marshall.
Marshall was just looking at the blue sea. He just kept thinking: "To be honest, I...really liked Skye, I mean she's cute, athletic and...pretty. Just, how am I going to...confess to her? When will I get the courage to tell her what I feel? What if she likes someone? What if she likes Chase?? What if she rejects me?! What if-"
His thoughts were interrupted when Skye flew behind Marshall. Skye asked: "Marshall...is something wrong?" Marshall gasped: "AAAAAH!!!" He got scared to the point where he accidentally did a mighty leap.
Marshall then turned over and looked at Skye. Skye giggled: "Sorry, did I startle you?" Marshall then asked: "Skye? Since when are you here?" Skye chuckled: "Marshall, I've been here for a few minutes ago."
Skye then asked again: "So is something wrong? You can tell me..." Marshall replied: "Um...no?" Marshall then thought that now is the time to tell Skye what he feels towards her. He then sighed: "No...you know what Skye, I-"
Just as he was about to confess to Skye, Rocky suddenly called the pups over: "Hey pups!! Look at this!!" The pups then came over to Rocky.
Chase asked: "What's the matter Rocky?" Rocky just pointed at the Paw Patrol lookout badge.
The pups looked up, and they saw that the lookout badge had shone brightly of all a sudden.
"There's something wrong with the meteor inside. " Rubble asked. "I don't know. Maybe we'll have to open the badge and see what's happening with the meteor inside there." Rocky suggested.
Rocky then used his energy tools to open up the badge. Skye and Rubble then took the meteor out.
The meteor was glowing even brighter than before. There were light sparks emitted from the meteor.
"Dude, that's too bright! It's very rare for a meteor to shine like that..." Zuma exclaimed. "Indeed it was, I never seen our meteor like this before..." Everest added.
Suddenly, the meteor began to shine even brighter...and brighter...and brighter. It's basically more of a glowing rock than a meteor now.
"I have a bad feeling about this...I feel like it's going to..." Chase said. "Explode...?" Skye whimpered. The pups then backed away a few feet.
Marshall shouted: "Take cover now!!!" Just as the pups were about to retreat, the meteor detonated, releasing a golden shockwave. The force pushed back the pups and shook the entire lookout.
Marshall crashed under a tree. When he woke up, he felt his vision slightly blurred. He then saw the pups laying on the road. They got knocked by the shockwave released by the meteor as well.
"Skye! Chase! Pups!! Are you pups alright?!" Marshall asked. "Yes, we're fine Marshall." Skye got up. Chase replied: "Same here...what happened?"
"It must be the meteor's doing..." Rubble grunted. "Meteor...wait, the meteor!!!" Rocky quickly ran back to check if the meteor is still okay. The pups then followed Rocky.
When the pups returned, they found out that the meteor got destroyed, and slowly crumbling into dust.
"No!!! The meteor!!" Everest exclaimed. "How and why did it do something like that...?" Chase was curious.
"I don't know...but all I know is, we can't use our mighty powers without the meteor now..." Rubble frowned. "Aw man, I was just about to use my new powers, and now this happened..." Tracker said sadly.
"And I can't fly anymore..." Skye then tried doing a backflip to prove her point, but...
"Woah Skye, you..." Marshall exclaimed. "Are flying...now?" Chase continued. Skye then found out she's flying, and her body were enveloped by a pink whirlwind.
"Wait...what? But how did..." Skye was shocked that she still have her powers.
All the pups paws then glowed with different colours. "Our powers!! They are back...?" Everest said in excitement.
"Yeah!!" Chase then ran across the Adventure Bay bridge and came back with tremendous speed. "And I have my super speed back as well!!" Chase added.
Just then, Ryder, Jake and Carlos came out from the lookout. "Pups, was there an earth...quake...?" Ryder saw that the meteor became dust, laying on the road.
Ryder asked: "Oh no!! What happened to the meteor?!" Marshall replied: "I don't know Ryder..." Marshall then explained everything that had happened recently about the meteor to them.
"...And that's how it happened. But one weird thing is, we still got our superpowers..." Skye added.
"That explains the 'earthquake' there..." Jake replied. "The lookout was shaking so hard so we decided to come out and find out what's happening...then this happened." Carlos added.
"Care to tell us why did we still get our powers Ryder...?" Tracker asked. "I don't know...maybe we'll have to ask Captain Turbot, he might know about this..." Ryder replied.
A few minutes later, Captain Turbot arrived. He witnessed the destroyed meteor and the pups that have superpowers and said: "Based on my assumptions, I dare say that the meteor had held too much power inside of it to the point where it accidentally blow up...which caused a glitch and gave you pups superpowers."
"So what you're saying is...the meteor glitched and gave the pups superpowers...? Is that what you mean?" Ryder asked.
Captain Turbot continued: "Yeah, just my theory though. But I have a big feeling that these superpowers are temporal. You pups can only use these powers in a limited amount inside of it. The more you use it, the faster the depletion of the power."
"And if we used up everything, we can't use it again until the next meteor arrives?" Chase asked. Captain Turbot nodded.
"So...we can only use these during emergencies, we'll have to save up our power now." Skye suggested. The pups agreed.
Before Captain Turbot leave the lookout, he warns the pups: "Remember pups, don't overuse your powers." He then left.
Marshall then looked at his paw.
"Surely there will be something bad that will happen soon..."
